Welcome to West Willow Acres! Follow us on Instagram and tag us in your pics: @westwillowacres My husband, our dog, West, and I are so excited to share our little slice of heaven with you. The property is just over 8 acres and fully fenced with barb wire cattle fencing. The portion of the property around the house has more secure wire mesh fencing! We have lots of seating available, we just ask you don't come onto the porch for our dog's sake (: The property has meadows, trees, walking trails, and a pond for you and your pup to enjoy! Right off 35! Are you traveling down 35 with your pet? Take a pit stop at our Sniffspot and let your furry friend stretch their legs then be back on the road no problem!

Hazards

HOST NOTE

HONEYBEES 🐝 We are keeping honeybees on the back right corner of our property. The bees are kept inside of a fenced off shelter so that animals (including your doggos) can’t reach the hives directly. That being said if you are nervous about bees or allergic, we would recommend avoiding the back right corner of our property. We have signs warning you when you’re close and pointing you in a different direction. We have not found ticks on our dog even after running through the tall grass but I still recommend that you check your dog afterwards. Our neighbor does have cattle that will occasionally come up to the fence (please do not approach if your dog can be aggressive). There is always the chance of poison oak in the taller grass so humans should be vigilant. Also we have seen the occasional ant hill. Although we have not seen any yet, always be aware of snakes since we are in the country. As mentioned above, the fencing is mostly 5 strand barbed wire cattle fencing. See 7th picture in profile for reference. An escape artist could crawl through some parts of the fence if they really tried - but our dog never has.

Mini Photo Session$150

If requested, you can use 30 minutes of your visit for a mini photoshoot with you and your pet! I am a photographer and would love to capture memories for you to cherish. This session will include at least 100 edited photos that I will share with you. We have a large private fenced yard that sits in a heavily wooded area. There is a very large pool with several covered areas for shade. We do have a bee yard that has 3 working Honeybee Hives that are typically not a problem unless a dog decides to go near the hives and then the ladies will protect their house. Most dog aren’t overly interested in the hives but it must be noted that they are there and can be provoked by a nosey nose😉 We allow 2 adults per dog reservation.
