This spot offers a true outdoor adventure type of walk, expect your dog to go home content & ready for a snooze. The place offers wide open spaces, gentle contour which keeps things interesting, a small creek that fills via tap & rain water, water troughs to dip in, plenty of space to explore. A hose is available to clean your dog off after their adventure at the front of the stables (dogs will need to be leashed), gated entry with a dog waste bin by the entry gate. Fully Fenced but a small portion is wire fencing (used to be electric fencing but no charge in them now), so might not be appropriate for some small dogs who tend to escape. There is a picture showing that fencing. ☀️ On those hotter days, take advantage of our mostly shaded trails… or if you just need that extra adventure. Follow the beautiful manicured trail that wraps around our fields. Ten minutes will get you to the opening of our picturesque gully trail. Gully… so yes that means a hill… but it is gradual. The scenery and the sounds of nature make it so worthwhile. And if your dog loves water, there is the stream to cool off in. 💦 For best trail stay on same side of bridge. (Don’t cross over) ENJOY! 😊

Bring your dogs out to the ranch! Enjoy walking with your dogs through the vineyards, watch them swim in the two ponds, look for ducks, hawks, and owls, view the horses in their nearby pens, or sit and relax while your dog burns energy! It’s also lovely at night, part of the dog park area is lit with landscape lights. Other parts are dark. It’s lovely when the days are hot!

Come enjoy these 15 acres of restored native prairie bursting with diversity and wildlife for humans and dogs alike! Your pooch will love to bound through the Bluestem and a Indian grass, sniff out wildlife and get out their wiggles. There is a mowed path along the Western treeline. Sniff spot ends at South where the mowed path meets the woods. Parking immediately to the right after you pull thru the gate, marked with a sniff spot and monarch way station sign. We're right off the end of 650th road, Black house set back by the trees (past the abandoned white farm house). Not great cell service, advise a screenshot of the map in photos before coming. Welcome to The Vista, a 30-acre outdoor space, with 15 acres for dogs and owners to enjoy. The area includes three main sections: an open field, a pond, and hiking trails. While there are no visible animals or pets on the higher levels, neighbor dogs may occasionally be visible at a distance from the lower areas. Wildlife is active and may cross your path—please avoid interaction when possible. This is an unfenced, off-leash location, and we cannot be held liable for dogs who are escape artists! Our pond spans 20 feet across and over 20 feet deep, with an almost immediate drop-off when stepping in. The pond is spring-fed and stocked, so feel free to swim, fish, or float during your visit. There is no electricity or formal structure, but you are welcome to set up a tent or umbrella for shade. This is a carry in–carry out site, so please leave no trace behind, including your trash. For twice the fun with your furry friend, consider upgrading to camp overnight! A porta potty is onsite, but there is no water or electricity available. Please note that security video surveillance is in place for safety.

You’ll also find wetlands, chances to spot farm animals and wild animals, and plenty of scenic views to enjoy during your visit. There’s a hydrant by the windmill tower for fresh water (just bring a bowl!), and a designated digging area where your dog can go wild without guilt. We have both a fenced area and unfenced areas, it’s large and open—perfect for dogs with strong recall or hunting breeds used to off-leash roaming. For humans, we’ve got off-street parking and plenty of peaceful surroundings to take in while your dog gets their energy out. If your pup loves water, open space, and new smells, this spot will definitely be a favorite. Come visit and let them explore it all!
