55Talvir is a generous host and very knowledgeable about dogs with issues. Great space for our 3 furballs. Had to keep our new rescued border collie on a longline in the large area as he can’t be trusted yet and may have jumped the 4ft fence to chase cars! He’s still a work in progress! The enclosed area was big enough for chasing balls and toys so he had great fun, our other 2 loved it and had a great run. We will be back. Rebecca H.

55The location was easy to find, Talvir greeted me at the driveway and showed me the property. Today we chose the smaller area with higher fences which is essentially a large yard (with lots of toys to be dug out of the snow!). We will absolutely be back soon to try the larger area !Heather D.

55The yard is big enough for dogs to run full speed. There are plenty of toys to use, tall fencing, great access, and a space for people to sit while the dogs run around. If you need a yard, and are anywhere near Bridgeland, I suggest going here 😊. Will D.

55This place is an absolute hidden gem. There are a wide variety of dog toys as well as human toys (swing, large wooden tic tac toe). Lots of fresh hose water for the dogs, as well as a water mister, a pitcher of cold drinking water for the humans. We will definitely be back! Sara H.

FAQ About Calgary Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 2% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Calgary area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 50 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 64 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
