Welcome to Blackberry Pond Dog Retreat! This property has caught the attention of Hollywood film crews several times, so we figured if they find it intriguing, well, pups will certainly LOVE it. If you want to temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of city life, this place will be your sanctuary. You and your pup will enjoy what we like to call our 13-acre “nature preserve.” 🦌ONE WITH NATURE With plenty of room to roam and explore, our property offers ultimate privacy and tranquility. You’ll forget about the outside world while here. Don’t be surprised, though, if you spot a deer, turkey, turtles, etc. as you and your pup play. Our 1-acre, gator-free pond is stocked with plenty of fish. If you’re lucky, you may see our friendly Bald Eagle that likes to hover in the trees above the pond. 🐍 Please pay attention to your surroundings, particularly the ground. Snakes are not an uncommon sight during the warmer weather. 🦉 Be mindful of birds of prey if you visit with a small dog. Keep them close to you. Hawks, eagles, and owls call the area home. 🐻 While very rare, in the past, there have been black bear sightings. 🏊‍♀️ Please do not get too close to the pond, especially if you cannot swim. Swimming by humans is not allowed. Dogs are welcome to play in the pond. 🐢 You may see turtles on the property. We suggest you do not pick them up. Some of them are snapping turtles and may bite you. 🐇 Do not attempt to feed any wildlife you may stumble upon - that includes deer, rabbits, turkeys, fox, etc. Stay a safe distance. 🪲 During the summer months, the bugs (Ex: mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, etc) can be bad. We recommend taking advantage of the complimentary bug spray that we will put on the picnic table behind the shed. 🐜 While we do our best to eliminate ant beds, please watch where you step. ☀️ The rays from the sun are strong. We encourage guests to take advantage of our complimentary sunscreen. 🩴It's strongly advised that you wear closed-toe shoes when on site, especially if you decide to go on the trail. Flip flops or sandals are not a good idea. 📹 NOTE: To ensure the safety of our property and guests, we do have several security cameras in front of the house, behind the house and near the shed. They will never invade your personal space.

Add Badminton and volleyball to your visit for a small extra fee—perfect for families, friend groups, or solo guests looking to unwind. When you arrive, the net will be freshly set up and ready to go. We’ll also provide rackets (4), balls, and shuttlecocks. You just need to bring your game face.

While your pup plays, treat yourself to a peaceful moment by the pond. For a small add-on, we’ll provide a generous cup of fish food so you can toss snacks to our friendly swimmers—catfish, brim, bluegill, and more! It’s a relaxing, kid-friendly activity that brings the water to life.

Ready to level up playtime? Let your dog dash, leap, and weave through our off-leash paradise with our fun-filled agility course. It includes 2 tunnels, pause box, weave poles, jump ring, 2-set hurdles, flying disc, seesaw, and agility jumping cones.

Just as Sniffspot charges for extra pups, we apply a small fee for additional human guests. Each booking includes up to 5 people. However, if you're bringing more, please be sure to add them to your reservation—there’s a $3 charge per person beyond the included five. (10 people max per booking!)

🚲Bicycle Rental$2

While your pup explores our little piece of tranquil paradise, you can cruise the property on one of our bikes! We offer 2 adult bikes, 1 child’s bike (ages 8–10), and 1 toddler bike with training wheels. Perfect for families, photo ops, or a peaceful ride while your dog plays. Purchased bike rentals are by the covered picnic table. *Note: For effortless, easy riding, we strongly suggest that you ride the bike on our winding driveway.

Ready to unleash your inner lumberjack? For guests craving a little extra thrill, we now offer a safe and portable axe-throwing game as an add-on to your private dog park visit. This bristle target set includes 8 lightweight foam and plastic axes in two colors—perfect for friendly competition or stress relief.

🫧Bubble Gun (2)$2

Turn your pup’s private playdate into a magical bubble chase! For a small fee, guests can rent two high-powered bubble guns that release a flurry of bubbles. It's perfect for curious sniffers, energetic chasers, and dogs who love a little whimsy with their workout.

Please dispose of all trash properly in the on-site trash cans. • Limit group size to 5 people or fewer. If hosting a gathering, please inquire about capacity and courtesy expectations. • An adult must accompany children at all times. 🐾 General Park Etiquette • Supervise your dog at all times. No unattended pups, even if they’re well-behaved. • Pick up after your dog. Waste bags are provided. Please use them! • Do not let dogs dig holes. If they do, fill them in immediately. • Dogs must be current on vaccinations.

Hello and welcome to Blackberry Pond Dog Retreat! 👋 Thanks so much for checking out my little slice of paradise. I truly hope you and your pup enjoy every moment here. My roots run deep in Berkeley County. While the area continues to grow with new faces from out of state, I’m proud to be a true local (a rare gem these days!). My ancestors first settled in the Lowcountry back in the late 1600s, and that heritage continues to shape how I care for this land and community. When I’m not hosting Sniffspot guests or dog sitting, I stay busy with remote work and community involvement. I’m an active member of several genealogical societies and love diving into local history. If you ever have questions about the area or just want a fun fact or two, I’m always happy to share.

There is plenty of "Sniff, Run & Fun," it's Paws-itively going to be a good day! If you forgot Toy's, balls, chuck-it's, Frisbee, ropes, water, Bowl/Bucket, no problem, we got you covered!! Maybe even a treat or two or a tree bungee tug-n-pull or a fake fire hydrant, how about some agility? We have it all covered for you. There's plenty more provided as well, like hand sanitizer, spray disinfectant, paper-towel, rags, etc. Please check out some of our pics and be sure to schedule a visit. We are pretty sure you will agree. it's a lovely spot for you to OFF LEASH your baby(ies)!!! You can even take a load off and just sit & relax for a few, at the table, with chairs and umbrella, while the sniffers-sniff, runners-run, and players play We do ask, that you "PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR FURBABY(IES)" (Bags & trash can provided) After all, they don't have thumbs and are just going to be way to busy, with all the sniffing, exploring, running & playing. So, PLEASE handle this for them! We try to take pride in a clean, beautiful Dog Park. If you would like it clean when you come, then keep it going for the visitors after you!!
