Description

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD Large 50 acre property with ponds/creek right off the 401! Unfenced but lined with tall hedge on three sides. There are great ponds for swimming and Cow Creek near the back 20 acres to play in, a wetland area has been recently installed by a nature conservation group. We ask folks to keep dogs on leash through the front 5 acres where we grow organic vegetables. Please do not enter the greenhouses or barn. Please stay out of the crops and garden beds.

HOST NOTE

Several ponds (stay off ice in winter), Cow Creek runs across the property and can run strong and fast after a big rains and in the spring. The creek has a few steep banks, please stay away from them and only use the lower access points to enjoy it. Please be very mindful of water levels and speed of currant before you allow your dogs in. The ponds may be safer water features to enjoy for small/elderly dogs. Wild animals could be present (rabbits, deer, coyotes, raccoons, opossums, etc). Potential for mud and uneven ground. Private 1 acre backyard with 1/4 acre pond and beach area for swimming and fully fenced 1 acre front yard for playing. To keep pond clean and swimmable we use manual removal of seaweed and leaves, beneficial bacteria, barley straw, pond dye and two aerators. Setback off road in the woods for peace and quiet, no neighbors or any other people.

The bridge across the stream has been built. The trail around the top field is around the outside. Connecting to the bottom field with short path across the stream. The bottom field follows the river for 2000ft. Bring your pup and your hiking shoes.

The Pipeline. 6 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park outside Komoka/Poplar Hill

Welcome to "The Pipeline," a field, bush, and forested area with a stream, pond, and trails that dogs are going to love exploring. No neighbours in any direction to hassle you while making all the noise you want. Grass may be tall or short when you arrive, as it is a hay field, with a trail cut around the perimeter, through the middle, and into the forest to get to the pond. Guests are able to explore the whole property, but please stay in the forest and field areas. We have marked the trails with orange tape so that you can follow or just freestyle it and go wherever the nose leads. We realize sometimes dogs get excited and will venture out of those areas, so dont sweat it. As long as they are having fun, just call them back and continue on your way. We do suggest bringing some bug spray/mosquito repellent. There may be some burrs in the bushes,you have to watch for that.

We have 6 acres which is a mix of open area, woods and a creek. We keep the lawn cut but do not maintain our woods. You are free to cross the bridge and walk in the woods but it may be overgrown during summer and fall. Feel free to splash in the creek or check out the playhouse. We frequently see deer and other wildlife however they likely will be hiding when dogs are around. Please clean up after your pets. *please note we have a woodchuck living under our deck that likes to poop on our stairs. We try our best to clean it up but you may come across some woodchuck droppings.

We are a busy, rural business in Chatham Kent, Ontario. We have lots of wide open space for your furry friend to run and play! Unfenced allowing your friend to freely roam supervised by their owner. There is a natural walking path (not maintained) down to the Sydenham River (off site but adjacent to our property). Inside the farm store are amenities for owners, our naturally raised beef, lamb and chicken available for purchase ++ NON-SMOKED NATURAL DOG BONES! IN ALL SIZES! We kindly ask you pickup after your pet, and ask that (if possible) you make a purchase in our farm store so we can keep our rates for the dog park low! Pet owners assume all liability, and aggressive or misbehaving dogs will be asked to leave. Most of the time, you will have the space to yourself!
