Hi my name is Carlson and we want to welcome you to our spot and share a short story as to why we are opening up our yard to sniff spot. We are the owners of our former canine buddies pit/boxer mix sisters, Barley and Hops. We rescued them as a pair from a horrific situation as puppies and worked through over 9 years of making them feel safe, due to their trauma they were always overly excited around other dogs and because of the way they looked people would assume they were aggressive and in turn they became isolated and needing places just like you see on sniff spot. They were gentle with our babies and children and loved our cat and us. When they were given the chance they were good with other dogs but after years of being shunned and never given a chance, we just made a decision to love them and accept that people are harsh. Our spot is in loving memory of our two dogs who knew what it was like to only be given a chance by their family. Our spot is open to all of those with stories similar or not. Everyone deserves a place to celebrate their pets and exercise them without judgment regardless of whether your pet loves other dogs, people etc. Thank you for reading and see you soon.

Our property is a beautiful mix of fields, wetland, and woodland trails, bordered by a brook. It’s a wonderful place to play frisbee or take a private hike through the scenic trails.
We’re located on 1.85 quiet country acres just minutes from 395 North and South. We have an acre of that property fully fenced in. We have open space with sparse trees and several places for the hoomans to sit. There is a large dirt “dig spot” and agility tires for walking on or going under! We have a small kiddie pool for swimmies and several bowls of drinking water. Larry the lobster is a whacky sprinkler that’s fun and refreshing to pups and hoomans!
NOTE we have had a few recent issues with folks being sent to the wrong location while using Apple Maps. If you are having trouble locating us we suggest using Waze or Google Maps as an alternative. The driveway is well marked with Sniffspot signs. Fully fenced, lightly wooded yard, about an acre. Paths around perimeter and throughout. Barn with kennels in case you need to separate dogs or get in out of the weather. Plenty of shade. The property contains many boulders, tree stumps, logs and leaves for your dog to explore, and lots of room to run. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and watch your step. There may be roots, rocks, holes or the occasional poop hiding under the leaves. Several of our guests have seen deer on the path to the SniffSpot gate. We strongly recommend keeping your dogs leashed until you are safely inside the fenced area.
