55We haven’t made it there in awhile and we are so happy to be back. The trails here get better and the amount of work Martin has put in to make the space so beautiful is wonderful. Can’t wait for more visits. And to try the honey.
55The best Sniffspot I will not be told otherwise.
55Lovely trails, very organized and well maintained! The dogs had a fantastic time.
55Our first time here and it is, hands down, one of my very favourite spots. There are endless well maintained, clearly marked trails that I could let my reactive pup run her heart out and play catch all at the same time. My husband and I had a superb time and Indy had just an incredible morning. She couldn’t have been happier. We will be returning!!
55Excellent property! Lots of opportunities for dogs to have enrichment and the trails were a good mix of terrain, well labelled, and well tended. Perfect for city dogs who need a little country in their lives!
55This is an amazing space with well maintained trails and beautiful views. Martin was very welcoming and provided us with a map and information on how to navigate the area. We highly recommend and will definitely be back soon. Thank you!
55This place was absolutely stunning! Our corgi was so happy going around the trails and it was so well-maintained. Martin was very welcoming and kind. ☺️ We will definitely be back.
55Had a great time! Lots of new trails. We will definitely come back again! Got great Halloween shots of the dogs here.
55Truly wonderful sniffspot - clean, calm, beautiful. I’ve been here every season of the year - while all are good, I think Autumn is my favourite. My dog loves coming here (as evidenced by her high pitched squeals when we arrive). My husband and I really enjoy it as well.
55Another amazing time. So beautiful and great exercise. This time went off trail and found a creek with more amazing views

Our neighbours down the road and on the other side have a variety of animals, which you might hear. They have a good solid fence to keep them in.

Our road is on a popular cycling route and you may hear cyclists, but that's quite rare. Occasionally on Wednesdays and Sundays you can hear practice shooting at a gun club which is a half mile away.

Description

***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** With big wide open trails, forest, marsh, creeks and wildlife, this doggy paradise is attracting visitors from all over southern Ontario. Trail map is found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1do57Iq23GVfcDxiEGihv7dVUWFXBSrGq/view?usp=drive_link Trails are open, mowed and maintained all year long. We host a beekeeper who has about 40 hives on a well-marked and avoidable section of one trail. The bees won't be out until April but please avoid the hives anyway. Read the reviews to get a good sense for what kind of experience you will have. We are grateful for all the positive feedback and pledge to make your experience just as fantastic.

99% of guests said this spot was as clean as expected during their visit.

Hazards

This spot has a water feature, make sure to review these guidelines for visiting spots with water before visiting: https://help.sniffspot.com/article/167-how-to-keep-your-dog-safe-around-pools-and-water Bee hives on one trail - they don't like small dogs! Easy to avoid, well marked. Bees aren't active in fall and winter, but stay away from the hives anyway. We live out in the country and there are coyotes. They are very shy, and if you stay on or near the trails you will never see them. Avoid dusk or early morning if this is a concern for you. The west side cutover from Meadow to Black Walnut can be up to a foot deep.

I love to ski, so I cut a lot of trails. My dog Teddy is a shy but friendly Shitzu-Poodle mix who likes to go on long walks. Teddy and I are happy to share the trails with other dogs.

Private Dog Park In Waterdown at Goldenwood Acres

***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD.*** **Gate is back up and Fully Fenced as of April 21, 2024** Welcome to Goldenwood Acres! On our 26 acre hobby farm, we have a 6 acre fully fenced farm field/dog park. Ride up and park at the white barn, and walk your leashed puppers to the field past our gardens, woodlots, and ponds. From the barn to the dog park you will get familiar with our surroundings and other fences. There is access to the forest and two ponds on the property. Crossing through the tree line, you have private access to the 6-acre field. Four-foot tall fencing is installed for your security. The best time to come is May to September. Come walk between the sunflower rows that grow up to 10 feet tall in the late summer! We cut the field between the sunflowers, make trails and play spots. We also leave big areas untouched for our honeybees (hives located in the other field). Enjoy seeing natural landscapes, trees, and privacy. Have fun, play catch and let your animal have unleashed freedom! We have uploaded a printable "safety map" for each season, that contains a legend for your use. Note the fire pit is not available during the winter season. Park has one main gate. This season we will also be placing picnic tables with a BBQ for large groups. I recommend booking the summer weekends in advance as they will fill up fast! Fencing Details: The 6-acre Dog Park Field is permanently fenced with approximately 2,500 linear feet of 4’ tall farm fence. The farm fence consists of professionally installed 2” by 4” squares of wire mesh (commonly used for smaller livestock such as sheep, donkey, cows, etc) and cedar posts. If you look at the photos you can see the locations of the gate on the main photo or on “safety map” (see photos and captions). We have more fencing on other parts of the property outside of our dog park in case your dog does not have good recall. Refer to the safety map (see photos). If you have any questions, please let me know.
