Things to Know! I use the property to conduct group off leash hikes on most days in one hour blocks. Private solo hikers who rent the property are scheduled before and/or after my time. I have a certain amount of flexibility everyday but it's hard to reflect that on a calendar block so it's best to check in regarding what dates/time slots are actually available if you are looking for time slots Monday through Thursday. The property contains easy, moderate and intense hiking. The trails in and out of the property will get your heart pumping. The forest floor is pretty flat and a great place for a chuck-it, a ball and a dog that likes to go long! Make sure to wear hiking boots and clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. I constantly have land management projects going on so you may encounter materials, brush piles or hand tools throughout the property. This place was virtually impenetrable when I took it over due to decades of wild overgrowth. I work on it one day at a time with the goal of developing a regional park like experience for people and dogs while trying not to overly disturb existing and hopefully future habitats of the animals that call this place home. There is a stream AND a mud pit :D Occasionally neighbors dogs (or chickens) are out and about around the perimeter of the property. The space is big enough to avoid their presence by sticking to the interior parts of the forest versus the fence line. The land is wild and all types of wild animals may be present; typically they stay out of site but deer often access our property by jumping the fence. In addition - the trees can make noise while moving with the wind and drop branches or various other things in the process of movement. Poison ivy is present on the property. Various other plants including mushrooms are also present and might be toxic if ingested or produce irritation if contact is made. Please be aware and mindful. Please be aware that yellow jackets may be around in the summer. Steer clear of them if you come across anything that looks like a nest; they will swarm and sting. During windy, wet weather a tree or tree limb can come down onto the fence; I typically repair/replace damaged sections same day or next day. Please be aware that if this occurs I may opt to reschedule your hike. Please keep your dog on leash until you are through the property gate and into the property. I have a one acre fenced pen area separate and apart from the property – please do not let your dog off leash in the pen. Thanks for Reading!!

If your dog likes to dig up a yard or flowers this is not the right property :( We have onsite parking. If your dog has mobility issues, this is a fully flat yard with a gate entrance. There's also steps up and down from the deck or you can sit and watch.

Here you will find a peaceful, fully fenced in half acre lot with a pond for your pups to swim, romp, sniff, play and have a great time. For those more adventurous dogs, there's even a dock for jumping into the pond! There are opportunities for enjoying the pond regardless of your dog's age or exercise ability, as there is a shallow area with tall grass for wading and splashing, and a deeper area for swimming. The slope of the land is gentle for those older dogs as well- this spot is suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities. For the humans, we have several seating options including a picnic table and 4 chairs under a shade sail. Bug spray, sunscreen, fresh drinking water for the dogs and a tote full of toys is also provided in the weatherproof storage shed next to the seating area. Waste bags are available if needed, although we appreciate people bringing their own, and there is a waste container located at the entrance, next to the kiddie pool that is used to rinse off muddy paws. It's recommended that you bring a towel to dry them off before getting back into your car. We hope you enjoy the spot and leave it as you found it for others to enjoy as well.
