Description

"Fully fenced back yard with mix of grass and concrete. Regularly poop-scooped (we have one dog). We provide water and a snack if requested! Our dog is friendly and happy to play if your dog wants a buddy--if not, he will stay inside. Our yard is great for fetch, training, or just being outside! In warmer months we also offer back deck dog baths (we have hot and cold water outside) for $5 per dog!"

Additional rules

"All dogs MUST be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives such as flea and heart worm medications. Reactive or aggressive dogs will be allowed on a case by case basis. I do not endorse any aversive styles of dog training such as the use of prong or shock collars. These must be removed prior to entering the yard. All dogs must wear a collar with identification. All dogs must be on leash until they are safely inside the closed yard. You must stay in the yard with your dog the entire time. If you need access to a restroom, please notify us. No smoking is permitted in the yard. Visits may be cut short in event of inclement weather."

"I have been working with dogs for over 5 years, both as a behavior assistant for the Humane Society and as a volunteer for the local shelter and a rescue group. I train with positive reinforcement-based methods and do not use aversive equipment or techniques. I believe that you should work WITH your dog and not against them during training, so it is fun for everyone! Need an extra set of hands or a distraction while training? I will always be available for help!Whether your goal be to work on basic manners, reactivity, or just to exercise, I am excited to give you an opportunity to enjoy off-leash time with your dog!"
