Branches & Barks ~ A private, fully fenced dog park where dogs can safely roam and be themselves. Our one-acre park, just outside Mooresville off of highway 801, offers a peaceful countryside escape. The open field provides plenty of space for your dog to explore, sniff, and play off-leash in a secure environment. Relax while your pup enjoys freedom and fun ~ swings and picnic tables make it a perfect spot for dogs and their humans. Safety, space, and a natural setting make this an ideal getaway for your furry friend.

Make sure your dog’s vaccinations are up-to-date. • Pick up after your furry friend and leave the park as clean as you found it. • Keep gates closed at all times and stay inside the play area for everyone’s safety. • Drive slowly and share the driveway courteously with others. • Most importantly… sniff, play, explore, and enjoy your own private Branches and Barks adventure!

Hi, I’m Wendy — a dog mom and the heart behind Branches & Barks. I created this private, peaceful acre so dogs and their humans can enjoy a wide open space to relax and play. Dogs can run, sniff, and be fully themselves, while their humans can unwind, watch, and simply enjoy the moment. I believe every dog deserves a moment of freedom and joy, and Branches & Barks was created to make that possible. All dogs are welcome — reactive, shy, or full of energy.

Captain's Retreat at Bear Creek located off Highway 64 in Mocksville! 4.5 acres of fully fenced (woven mesh wire and post/rail 5.5ft to 6ft high) with trails, woods, field, and plenty of room to run and explore! Open the front gate and drive into the secure parking area. ***CLOSE AND LATCH THE GATE BEHIND YOU BEFORE GETTING YOUR DOGS OUT OF THE CAR!*** Walk through gate into the space from the secure parking area. This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! (It's been stored for the fall/winter...but if you would like to use it...please let me know at time of booking) -Dog water bowl, dog brush, toys, treats, human and dog tick spray provided. All located in large deck box inside the gate. -Bring doggy towels in case of mud or bathing! -Porch swing and seating areas with a shed deck, gas grill, picnic table and hammock at the top of the property. -Chair/table area at the bottom of rock trail. At the end of the cleared field is a 2 single seat swing set and hammocks by the bridge. **Stick Library** -**NEW** we have expanded the field area to fence in the hill!
