“As mentioned; there are two 14 year old labs that stay near the farmhouse on the complete opposite end of the farm and they will not approach you. Your dog may hear them bark at a distance. Additionally, I have two dogs in my house that will not be let outside while you’re here, but your dogs may hear barking when you first arrive.”

“Distant neighbors have chickens. Sometimes our farm cat is walking around outside. All stay close to the main farmhouse on the opposite end of the property. These should not affect your visit at all, even if you have reactive or aggressive dogs.”

“While encounters with other people will be seldom- This is a working farm, people work and live here. The farm staff stay close to the working fields and main farmhouse. However, there’s plenty of open space away from us and this should not affect your visit. I do like to greet people, if I’m home when you arrive, to point you in the right direction, but other than that no need to check in with me and you likely will not see us after you complete your visit unless you message me. Happy to chat if needed. Also- I will not approach your dog unless you make it clear it is acceptable.”

Park anywhere you’d like on the gravel driveway. Please do not park on the grass. If you arrive on time, we will make sure no people or dogs are outside when you arrive. I’ll come out on my deck to welcome you and to give you helpful tips on where to go (if I am home). We always try to time our dogs to be indoors when you arrive, but we are not perfect. One out of every 10 times, one of our dogs sneaks outside or needs to use the bathroom. This is rare and we strive to avoid this- apologies for any possible inconvenience.

Description

Our farm is open fields, tons of trees to play hide and seek in, and lots of riverfront area for dogs to swim. There are ungroomed “walking trails” that go around the entire property. Center of property tends to be wet. My personal dogs will remain inside the house while you are here. Bring your own poop bags please. Dogs with good recall are allowed off leash, at your own risk, please. We love all breeds of dogs with every quirk and ability. We respect that all dogs have different temperaments; all dogs are welcome, no matter how they feel towards strangers or other animals. We will do our 100% best to ensure no person or domestic animal will bother you on your adventure here. We work in animal rescue and commit that all proceeds will go towards continuing to help abandoned, abused, and neglected pets. Thank you for enjoying our peaceful space. Bring your boots and bug spray! :)

HOST NOTE

On the complete opposite side of the farm from where you’ll begin your journey- about 50+ acres away; There is one elderly dog that VERY rarely leaves the driveway. He is harmless and will stay out of your way; you likely will not see him. The neighbors, also on opposite side of the farm, have chickens that sometimes wander onto our property. This is a working farm so on some days in the summer there are tractors running and people picking vegetables in the field. If this is a concern message us and we will direct you to where to go to keep safe. With close to 90 acres of land, we can make sure you get the space you and your furry friend need away from everyone.
