Warning: The fencing is a single hot wire and not a fully enclosed or solid fence That the property borders a neighboring pasture with horses present Any areas where dogs should remain leashed and where extra caution is required. The North side of the forest has a beautiful trail you can unleash you dog to run. Recommended to wear 🥾 hiking boots. *Warning* Dogs should be leashed along the right fence line due to the presence of horses* Please leave the area just as it was and pick up your dog's poop. The pond was washed out due to flooding. A road was washed out and it will be replaced with a bridge. So, this means there is only one access to the forest trial which takes 30 minutes hike through the forest. Look for the bright lime green flags that will guide you along your journey. There other options is the hillside near the parking signs, our enjoy the area by the pound. Parking signs will assist you as you start your exploration. As you walk alongside the fence, keep an eye out for horses. For your safety, please ensure that your dogs are leashed near the horses. My name is Bea, and my husband's name is Jerry. I grew up in Alaska, surrounded by nature, and I cherish the natural beauty that brings me joy and peace. Our furry friends have always brought happiness into our lives, but this year, I sadly lost two of them. This loss has deepened my desire for others to experience the beauty of this land with their dogs. A community that embraces a dog-friendly environment is a better place for everyone. I see great potential in Sniffspot's website to help make this happen. My husband, who is from Oregon, has built and managed our property for 30 years.

Your attendance has allowed us to continue development of our Disney Land for dogs and being a contributor to the Portland Humane Society. Toward that end this is what we have to offer at present with more to come. Two main walking trails, with two offshoot trail loops at present. Signage is there at each to help you in and out of each. Each has a selection of walking sticks at the trailhead, should you choose to use them. Appropriate good grip footwear is recommended especially during our monsoon season. Trail one, the shorter of the two, is about 25 minutes give or take, and takes a degree of dexterity more than trail too. Trail two contains two loops trails that take 30 to 45 minutes there and back to the parking area. The trail has two rest areas to sit with umbrellas to keep the rain off when needed. Trail 2, loop two has large Vern plant areas like you may have seen in the Jurassic Park movies. There are (2) Two parking areas, one much larger for up to 25 cars to accommodate larger group events. A porta potty for your convenience. Multiple poop depots throughout the park with bag dispensers. Two water play areas one is shallow to help pups to acclimate comfortably to water play. The other is the larger man-made pond area. The larger pond area has a selection of small watercraft to help acclimate pups to being on the water with a parent. A large selection of different size lifejackets for parents and pups. Floatable toys for retrieval are nearby. A Muddy Paw Spa to clean pups and shoes before getting into the car. Included, are multiple towels to dry off your pup, and a close line to hang the wet towels on to dry off. For those concerned about blue green algae, a bulletin board showing a test kit that can be purchased through Amazon. Test takes 15 minutes, with 99% accuracy. Next to it is an area to post the initials of the tester, date, time, and results of the test for other guests to see. Any guest doing this will be given an extra 15 minutes to the end of their reservation time on us. Please let us know in advance if you decide to do the test. For reasons to detailed to get into now, there’s never been an issue with blue green algae at Tail Waggers. A comprehensive agility course with all the obstacles that you would see on the YouTube obstacle course events. Multiple toy stations. If on your visit, you would like to donate unused toys for other pups to enjoy that would certainly be appreciated. A long mowed area above the pond for long distance ball and frisbee retrieval. They’re also a few frisbee catchers there to practice frisbee throwing accuracy. Long, medium range and putter frisbees are provided. A 10 x 10 doggy dig sandbox for those pups to enjoy digging. A tug-of-war for those pups will enjoy a good tug. The picnic area has been expanded to accommodate pup, birthday parties, pup, groups, and family gatherings. For those bringing young children, a swingset. Solar lighting around trees, parking area and the porta potty will help to illuminate these areas when darkness falls. There are water dispensers with water bowls. There is another area being developed presently that will become an urban agility course.
