We are located only 10 minutes west outside of Peterborough. Our property is home to wildlife such as turkeys and deer - although it may be rare to spot them. **WINTER DISCLAIMER** Due to the size of our property, our trails are not plowed during the winter so we highly recommend wearing winter boots, spikes, snowshoes to enjoy the trails.

The dock is in need of repair at the moment so please take caution while standing on it ⚠️ The property goes until it hits water on all north sides of the property which includes in the spring and summer a very muddy marsh area that dogs love running through. Please bring your own towels & prepare for a muddy happy dog! The sheds on property are off limits & should not be entered. We kindly ask the you stoop and scoop after your dog as we have kiddos that play in the backyard from time to time. There are fences on both sides of the yard, however not on the side where the road is but when further down the property you’re unable to see the road. I am happy to provide a 60’ lead for your dog if needed for recall. I do have 3 dogs on the property however when there is a booking they will be inside. I have two reactive dogs, so please do not come onto the property without a booking. To get to the backyard, you will park in the driveway on the left & walk through the car port. Please have your dog on leash until through the car port as it’s close to the road. We are working on getting a riding lawn mower as ours is currently broken so bare with us on the grass. There are several toys in the backyard in a chuck it bucket it for dogs to play with, please note that the chuck it balls with the holes do not float and are quite hard to retrieve due to the mud from the shoreline, so take caution if your dog will drop it in the water. 💧 There are cameras on the house for security purposes. Welcome to Beaverton's Dog Trails! Please access the trails from Concession 6. Punch these coordinates into Google Maps: 44.4415942, -79.1065234. There is a SniffSpot Sign at the entrance. You may park in the private driveway. Rubber boots are recommended! Please pick up after your dog, there is a waste bin at the entrance. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. The map is posted throughout the trails with "you are here" symbols to help you navigate the trails. There is also bug spray in the cabinet at the trail entrance. If trails are blocked off with caution tape, they are temporarily closed. Enjoy your visit!
