55Repeat customer, always love coming there! My dogs love their favorite toys!!
55This is a nice yard with a beautiful view. Our puppy loved running around. We went down to the water. The stairs are kinda steep but manageable. The owner was very nice and quick to respond. It was a little confusing at first when we got there. Didn’t have a sniff spot sign, so we were not sure if we were walking into someone else’s yard.
55What a gorgeous place. Clean and safe. Beautiful views. Excellent communication.
55Wonderful spot, lots to sniff. Perfect access to beach, but worth being mindful if you struggle with stairs but perfect for most people! Noni had a blast and Milo hopped around carefree! Easy access and view was spectacular.
55Great location with amazing views and water access! Super friendly host and great set up for dogs! We will be back!
55Just a fantastic place all around. Fun for dogs and relaxing for mom. Tide was too high for swimming, but we went down and jumped in anyway.
55This spot is AMAZING!!! My pups had the best time! Sean even left them each a treat :) This is puppy heaven, we will definitely be returning!
55Great spot for the pup something different than our normal play places. And an amazing view while playing!
55One happy dog - again! He fell asleep before I could even get his harness off. A great place to burn off energy.
55Another great visit. Max knows the turn into the driveway now and gets excited for his romp and roam time. So many toys to choose from! He was worn out by the end of our time today, started falling asleep standing up, and passed out as soon as we got home. Thanks, Sean!

Description

A .63 acre dog sanctuary for you and your pup. The yard is well maintained with dog friendly grass and has incredible views of the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. If you're interested, there is private beach access for you and your pup to explore miles of beach (public but almost always empty). There are numerous dog toys available and a massive 6+ person, dog friendly couch (late Spring to early Fall) you can relax on and watch the canal when you need a break! Regarding the beach, there are approximately 50 steps which you will need to climb up and down to access the beach so please wear proper footwear. As this is on the Hood Canal and not a lake or a pond, tides impact the size of the beach. If you are hoping to walk endless miles of beach, the tide will need to be at 2ft or below. Anything under 4ft will give you a massive area (probably 1/2 mile or more) and almost guaranteed private area as only people with stairs can access the beach at this tide level. Though the beach is open at any point, I think the maximum height you would probably want to go is about 6.5ft. This still gives you and your dog a decent sized area to play in (approximately 500ft by 30ft or 1/2 acre). Photos 16 and 17 show the beach at 6.25ft with a very large sandy area for you and your pup to play in. Anything above 6.5 ft is not recommended as the beach just gets thinner and thinner, but you're able to try if you want. (no refunds given if you don't like what you find). You are responsible for checking out the tides before you go. Legally, I can't recommend any specific source for you to use, but you might find good information Googling "tide chart port ludlow". Regarding ADA Accessibility, my property is on a gently sloping hill. To access it, there are 2 very wide concrete steps to get to the grass. This would be doable for someone on crutches and probably ok for a regular wheelchair if you had a second person to help lower you to each step and pull you up. It's definitely not accessible to a motorized wheelchair. Sorry. Note - restroom is only available if I'm home, otherwise there is one approximately 2 miles northwest at the gas station in Port Ludlow

Hazards

Your dog will fall in love and never want to leave! Exercise caution to avoid tripping and falling on uneven surfaces including the yard, steps/stairs, decks and wood surfaces of all kinds, stone surfaces, etc. Wood surfaces of all kinds may cause splinters. There are no railings on the deck or stairs to the lower deck. All surfaces become more slippery when wet or damp and caution should be used. Neither you nor your dog should consume plants on the property without you first identifying them as being safe for consumption. Some plants may have spikes or thorns that may cause scratches, etc. The water spigot provides water from Paradise Bay's water supply, it is up to you to determine if it is safe for consumption. There may be insects and or wild animals on or around the property which may sting or bite. The beach and Hood Canal are not owned by me so I am not responsible for maintaining them in any way shape or form nor am I responsible for what you may find or what may occur if you choose to use the beach or water including but not limited to drowning, tides, hypothermia, slips/falls on wet sand/rocks/shells/debris, animal encounters, etc. The property you are using is outdoors so there is the risk of sun exposure, changing weather/temperatures, etc. There are motor vehicles that use Paradise Bay Rd which may present a hazard when entering or exiting the property. Use proper caution when entering and exiting the property. There is a wood pile which has wood pieces that may contain nails, screws, bolts, etc and which may have sharp edges and/or splinters. Guests assume any and all risks while on the property and agree to not hold the property or property owner responsible for anything that occurs related to the use of said property.
