i own a nature immersion retreat center on 5 acres across the street from the entrance. there is a guard dog that barks at night. you may hear our donkeys, rooster, peacock, or the dog at times, but it's definitely a distant sound.

Description

A quiet partially untamed piece of lovely land that has about 400 feet of river frontage. Park at the entrance and follow a trail to explore. You may encounter art installations from our artist and writer residency. Ask about guided forest therapy walks or tent camping on the primitive land.

Most wild animals are nocturnal including deer, coyotes, skunks, raccoons, oppossum, and bobcats. Have not seen or worried about any of these during the day time.

A 2.5-3 hour nature immersion giving you the opportunity to slow down and appreciate the surroundings. Val is a certified Forest Therapy guide which is a process inspired by the Japanese "Shinrin-yoku" or Forest Bathing. Price includes max 2 people and your dog(s). Ask about extra person charge.

Kayak/Canoe Shuttle Service$30

Ready to be on the water - a lovely remote section of the Buffalo River in Lewis County? Shuttle service available for you, your gear and your furry first mate. The best drop in is called Texas Bottoms. Price includes parking at the entrance. Ask me more.

Kayak/Canoe Valet$20

Have all your gear loaded up and ready to drop in on the Buffalo River, but don't know how to get your vehicle to our exit spot? We'll schedule a meeting time at our entrance, and Val will ride with you back to the drop in spot of your choice. She'll drive your vehicle back to the parking area where you can retrieve to load at the end of our adventure. Price includes parking.

Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.
