Description
Dog Park Rules The rules listed below are for the protection of those who use our dog park facilities and are intended to maintain a safe, healthy and clean dog park. 1. The dog park is open to paid members only. 2. All dogs must always be accompanied by an owner age 16 or older. Limit (2) dogs per handler. 3. Dogs must be leashed when approaching and leaving the Dog Park. Prong, spike or choke collars and retractable leashes are prohibited. 4. Dog’s leashes should be removed when inside the double gated area. Collars, displaying the assigned dog park tag as well as rabies & license tag must always be displayed. 5. Only dogs 30 pounds or less are permitted in the small dog area. 6. Children ages 12-15 must always be accompanied by a responsible adult that will be accountable for the behavior and well-being of the child. Children under 12 are not permitted in the park. 7. Carroll County is not responsible for injuries to dogs, their owners/handlers, or others that use our Dog Parks. Use Dog Parks at own risk. This area is for dogs and their owners/handlers only. 8. Owners/handlers are legally responsible for their dog’s behavior and any destruction caused by his/her dog. Any holes created by a dog shall be filled by the dog’s owner. 9. Female dogs “in heat” (in estrus) and puppies under the age of 4 months are prohibited in our Dog Parks at any time. 10. Dogs with a known history of aggressive or dangerous behavior and/or dogs that have displayed aggressive or dangerous behavior at this facility are prohibited. 11. All dogs must be healthy, currently vaccinated against rabies and legally licensed, with proof available on site (tags visible on dog). 12. No eating or smoking allowed inside the Dog Park. No dog treats or toys (except tennis balls) are allowed. Water may be brought in; however, glass containers are prohibited. 13. Owners are responsible for securely latching both control gates as they enter or exit. 14. Owners must always remain in the off-leash area with their dogs and maintain sight of and voice command control of their dog. 15. Any dog showing aggression toward people or other dogs must be immediately leashed and removed from the Dog Park by its owner/handler. 16. Any dog barking continuously or uncontrollably must be removed from the Dog Park by the handler. 17. Owners/handlers must pick up and properly dispose of their dog’s feces. 18. No commercial business may be conducted inside the Dog Park. 19. Violators of rules will be subject to removal from the park and suspension of membership. 20. Hello fellow pet parents! We have a total of three lush green acres available for your beloved pet friends to explore. The space is fully-fenced. Our fence is a 3.5 foot high cattle fence with wire mesh. The entrance to our spot is a large metal swing gate. The spot has cut short-grass. There are lots of deer among other animals in the area so your dog can have their own sniffing adventure! No need to worry if your dog is reactive because these animals usually keep their distance. We have digging areas and poop bags. We also have some wood planks that could possibly be used for agility jumps (See pictures). You can enjoy a chill hangout at the picnic table, or relax on the lawn chairs while watching your pup. Hand sanitizer, sunscreen, and a trash can will be provided as well. At this time we are not able to offer water or doggy bowls. The area is quite tranquil; you can enjoy birds chirping or even meditate. Portable lawn chairs are also accessible. It’s a perfect place to take some time off from daily life struggles and relax; both for you and your furry friend! Shady spots are available during any time of the day if you don’t like to be under the sun. We would love to see your furry friends enjoying our yard. The back right corner of the yard has a play area with a playhouse, caterpillar tunnel, tire tunnel, climbing cube, climbing dome, car beds, the biggest tire you’ve ever seen, and hammock. We also have a bunch of dog toys, including tons of tennis balls, and several herding balls of various sizes. Part of our yard is shady and part is sunny. You get the best of both worlds. The pool is completely fenced off from the rest off the yard. You don’t have to worry about your dog(s) accidentally falling in. Our yard is handicap accessible. There are no stairs to climb. The entrance to the backyard is a flat grassy area. The gate leading to the back yard is wide enough for a wheelchair or power chair. The yard has a slight incline, but there are no major obstacles that would prevent a wheelchair from moving around. We are located in Sykesville, MD which is about 30 mins from Baltimore and Columbia. 15 minutes from Owings Mills, Ellicott City, and Westminster.
