**IMPORTANT: If you have visited other local sniffspots recently, please wait at least 7 days before making a reservation. It’s currently tick season and our property is tick free and we would love to keep it that way**. Please also make sure your dogs are up to date with tick treatments** IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD. A great location for both owners and dogs to unwind, featuring a creek bordered by native trees that have stood for centuries. There are park benches available for you to sit back and relax and a dedicated area for your dogs to swim and cool off on a hot summers day. Winter brings three water features for water-loving dogs: a year-round creek which is deep and wide perfect for swimming , a shallow wading pool with muddy areas which forms at the base of the slope after heavy rain and a shallow fresh-water running stream with a small water feature near the entrance paddock / bridge. Dogs are welcome to enjoy all three! Notes for guests to be aware of: The bank next to the creek has several steep slopes that drop down to the water, so please exercise caution if you have children with you. Unfortunately we no longer provide a consistent supply of dog toys as they all go missing, sometimes the same day they are put out! There will be toys out on the odd occasion and we usually provide a good stack of sticks for dogs to enjoy but otherwise feel free to bring your dogs favourite toy with you 🙂

HOST NOTE

The bank along side the creek has a steep drop in some places, please keep this in mind if you have children with you. Winter months after a lot of rain it can be a bit muddy in some places but is usually pretty good otherwise. I’ve put two markers to guide you on the best place to walk through to help keep your feet dry. There is a shallow mud / water bit at the bottom of the slope in the park that forms after rain so be prepared to take home a muddy dog if your dog likes that sort of thing.

Please note that we will be making hay on the property sometime before Xmas, due to this being so dependant on the weather we may only get 1 x days notice from the hay contractor that he is coming, if you have an existing reservation in place at this time it will unfortunately need to be cancelled, I will contact any guests to let them know as soon as I find out when he is coming. To help keep our property tick-free, please wait 7 days after visiting other local sniffspots before booking with us. We’re currently tick-free and want to maintain that! Please also remember to check your dogs thoroughly & vaccinate for ticks.

Peaceful & serene it is the perfect place for offleash zoomies & exploring. This spot offers a true outdoor adventure type of walk, expect your dog to go home content & ready for a snooze. The place offers wide open spaces, gentle contour which keeps things interesting, a small creek that fills via tap & rain water, water troughs to dip in, plenty of space to explore. A hose is available to clean your dog off after their adventure at the front of the stables (dogs will need to be leashed), gated entry with a dog waste bin by the entry gate. Walk through the native bush where wood pigeons and tui fly. Native ferns frame the creeks running through the bush. There are plenty of picnic spots under large Totara trees where you can sit and watch your dog have a swim in the pond. On your journey you will see cattle, geese, ducks, turkeys, pukako, rabbits and native birds, and carp in the pond. The entire time will be for you and your dog as each session is pre booked for a specific time slot. We have 3 spoilt dogs which will be indoors for your visit and aviaries with parrots which will hear as you drive past the house up the farm track to commence your journey.

Mostly dog proof fenced except for possible gaps around the turned over tree trunk in the left rear paddock. Please take care, I cannot guarantee an impenetrable fence! Gaps pop up constantly being a farm. There’s a lovely creek running through the property so great for dogs that love splashing in water. Available from 1pm weekdays and all day on weekends.
