IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD If you are looking for a place to help your canine develop confidence and learn proprioception (body awareness) this is it. Alex from Tautahi K9s (a retired Canine USAR search specialist) has developed this Confidence course with this in mind - ideal for those looking to develop their working dogs or sport dogs, or for companion animals needing to be challenged. Set in a rural holding in the Franklin area, this is an ideal place to work or exercise with your dog. It is being constantly extended, with new structures being developed in the future, so book your place for a unique opportunity to develop that special bond of trust with your k9 star. Tautahi K9s can also help with any training or behavioural issues you maybe experiencing with your dog - please contact Alex for further information.

Additional rules

At present the area consists of both open land and confidence course structures. The perimeter fencing consists of Timber post and rail and also 7 strand galv wire. Please ensure your dogs remain within the property and don't bother the stock (if present) in the neighbouring property. For the safety of your dogs - while on the structures, please ensure the dogs are under supervision. All dogs must be vaccinated and parasite free

I am a Dog Trainer at Tautahi K9s with a background as Canine Search Specialist with NZUSAR Taskforce 1. The areas of detection and tracking are my passion which i currently practise with my 2 dogs , Bryn and Tama. I also work as the Canine Volunteer Liaison for the SPCA Auckland, in the Mangere center, training all the new volunteers who want to work in the Canine department.

15 acres available on part of our farm - these are rented privately & it is just you & your dog/s on the walk. PLEASE ONLY STAY IN PADDOCKS COLOURED YELLOW, ORANGE, BLACK, HOT PINK, PURPLE. DO NOT ACCESS OTHER PADDOCKS. Peaceful & serene it is the perfect place for offleash zoomies & exploring. This spot offers a true outdoor adventure type of walk, expect your dog to go home content & ready for a snooze. The place offers wide open spaces, gentle contour which keeps things interesting, a small creek that fills via tap & rain water, water troughs to dip in, plenty of space to explore. A hose is available to clean your dog off after their adventure at the front of the stables (dogs will need to be leashed), gated entry with a dog waste bin by the entry gate. Note - you will still need some control of your dogs as the area is large. PLEASE ONLY STAY IN PADDOCKS COLOURED YELLOW, ORANGE, BLACK, HOT PINK, PURPLE. A great location for both owners and dogs to unwind, featuring a creek bordered by native trees that have stood for centuries. There are park benches available for you to sit back and relax and a dedicated area for your dogs to swim and cool off on a hot summers day. Winter brings three water features for water-loving dogs: a year-round creek which is deep and wide perfect for swimming , a shallow wading pool with muddy areas which forms at the base of the slope after heavy rain and a shallow fresh-water running stream with a small water feature near the entrance paddock / bridge. Dogs are welcome to enjoy all three! Notes for guests to be aware of: With all the rain recently make sure to wear appropriate shoes as some parts can be a bit muddy. The bank next to the creek has several steep slopes that drop down to the water, so please exercise caution if you have children with you. Unfortunately we no longer provide dog toys as they all go missing, sometimes the same day they are put out! We usually provide a good stack of sticks for dogs to enjoy though 🙂

BarkPark is a 20 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Buckland

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD BarkPark is a 20 acre working farm with a mixture of rolling hills and flat paddocks. Walk through the native bush where wood pigeons and tui fly. Native ferns frame the creeks running through the bush. There are plenty of picnic spots under large Totara trees where you can sit and watch your dog have a swim in the pond. On your journey you will see cattle, geese, ducks, turkeys, pukako, rabbits and native birds, and carp in the pond. The entire time will be for you and your dog as each session is pre booked for a specific time slot. We have 3 spoilt dogs which will be indoors for your visit and aviaries with parrots which will hear as you drive past the house up the farm track to commence your journey.
