Description

Fall is in the air and our spot is perfect to enjoy a nice, quiet escape! Our secluded dog pasture is located on a dead end in Beaverdam. As you enter the gravel driveway, you will see designated parking alongside a shaded shed. Just a short walk away is the entrance to a fully fenced doggie pasture. In warmer months, the (4) chairs and a table will have an umbrella available for some shade. We also will have a shade sail for the pups use as well as a garden hose and drinking bowl (for the dogs only preferred). There are covered dog shelters so your pooch can have some shade. Doo doo bags, a scooper and trash can are nearby for cleaning up. The area is far removed from the street We are easily reached should you have any issues at all and the area has security cameras for safety. We do not have any outside pets that will interfere with your visit. A burn barrel and wood is available for visits in the cooler months. Take a ride through the county and enjoy our clean and pesticide/fertilizer free pasture!

HOST NOTE

Some holes in the ground from doggie digging. Please note: From mid November through January, Hanover County allows hunting with dogs. The hunting dogs, while seldom seen near our property, do show up from time to time. We have never had an issue and the ones we have encountered have been harmless to other dogs. Unfortunately we have no control and encourage all pups to be leashed when making their way to the secure pasture. Additionally, you may hear gun shots. This is all a part of being out in western Hanover County. Thank you for understanding.

The booking allows for 1 vehicle, if you would like to travel to our pasture with more than 1 vehicle there is an additional $2.00 charge per vehicle. Please park behind each other next to the shed or follow any updated info on the welcome message.

Cooler of ice$10

A large cooler and a bag of ice, you bring the drinks! Great for a hot day. Only available with one days advanced booking.

Doggie pool$15

We have a small 32"x8" pool to help beat the heat! Requires booking 24 hours in advance and we will have it clean and full! Requires one day advance booking.

Our only rules are: 1) Please notify us if you are running late. We try to be as accommodating as possible with all guests. 2) Please park in the designated spot and keep the pups leashed outside the fenced area. We are in the country and there are squirrels etc. 3) Have a great time 4) Reach out of you need ANYTHING! THANK YOU!

We have a 5 acre OFF LEASH area available, and an ON LEASH walking trail in the back of our property. We are pleased to invite you and your dog to our lovely fully fenced in area on our 12 acre property in the countryside of Montpelier, VA. 30 min from downtown Richmond, VA - come escape to the quiet and tranquil area we have set up and fenced off for dogs. An additional nature area for walking is available in the back; however, dogs MUST be leashed in this area, as it is not fully fenced back there. Walking trails have been cut and wildlife is often seen in our little sanctuary. Please be mindful of neighbors and leave the area as you found it.
