55Fantastic spot! The mud puddles were a big plus with my pups and I love being able to give them so much joy and the freedom to stomp and run safely!
55What a fun spot! My dog and I both enjoyed looking at the goats and chickens and there’s plenty of space to run and lots to play with.
55Best spot!! So much to do and the chickens and goats keep the dogs busy. Lots of room for Zoomies and has everything we could ask for in a sniff spot! (Water, poop bags, agility equipment, sticks, etc). Not muddy at all right now.
55This is such a great spot. We brought our pup's herding ball for the last visit and he had a blast. Will definitely be back!
55Our two dogs had a blast! Many thanks!
55My dog had a blast here and I think made a new friend (one of the goats). The property has lots of amenities and room for the dogs to run around, as well as some agility things for them to jump and climb. We will definitely be back.
55Great time as always! Love how peaceful it is. With a bit of rain even a rain poncho was provided.
55I loved this spot! My dog enjoyed sniffing the chickens, but didn’t mind the goats one bit. Lots of space to run and lots of fun obstacles to play on if you want
55This is a wonderful place to bring the dogs. Fully fenced and clean.
55We always enjoy our time at Jeff's spot. It's clean and has plenty of space for my very large boy to run and play, lay in the grass and roll around, or work through some of the training equipment that Jeff has out. It's also a great place for humans to decompress while the pup plays. We've been many times and I see many more times in our future.

Neighbor occasionally has dogs out. Right when facing the pasture. They bark but are usually called back by the owner. My field fence buts up to neighbors fence. So two fences on that side.

We have chickens and goats (Alpacas recently re-homed) The animals are in own enclosed area but visible to dogs. Goats are used to dogs and will just stare at you. Feel free to feed them (they love carrots) Training field has a corner where dogs can get up close to chickens, but not the goats.

This is a quiet area but pasture occasionally has neighbors in their back yards. I occasionally will be doing yard work/chores but will stay out of training field and pasture unless directed otherwise prior to visit. Have fun, relax and get some training in.

Description

Come down the first driveway. You will see a white address sign “Windenfir” You will then see a sign “Windenfir Training Field.” Parking avail in front of gate, near the exit, or in front of garage (just not blocking garage door). Agility course, tennis balls, fresh water, and poo buckets available. Hose is on if not freezing temps. After going though Windenfir training field gate you will see the back gate with a sign “Windenfir Dog Pasture." Great place to explore and let them sniff. Looking to the right when out in the pasture, the neighbors Goldens occasionally bark. Two fences between properties on this side. Owner usually calls them when barking. The pasture has goat droppings so no surprises. This is a farm :) Chickens and goats in separate area and visible to dogs (see photos). Don’t be surprised if they come up to the fence to see what’s going on. The animals have been raised around dogs and are not bothered by them. They would come out if they could. Very nice field fencing in pasture. Chain link/field fencing in training field. As of now the training field and pasture are muddy and slick in areas. Agility equipment can be slick also due to rain. Check pasture area if deciding to throw a ball/stick/small child :). Hard packed in areas and not level in some. Playhouse is open for photos and kids. A few small pieces inside in case a small child goes inside. Training available by request. Windenfirdogtraining.com Enjoy, breathe and relax.

Welcome, Come down the first driveway and you will see our address on a white sign “Windenfir” You will then see a sign "Windenfir Training Field" on a gate. This field is free from farm animals and droppings. Agility course if desired. Hose and water bowls in training field. You can park near the gate, exit, or in front of garage, unless visiting before 6am. My teenage kids might come and go and have been raised around working K9s and are not to engage unless you acknowledge them. After going through the training field gate you will see at the end of the field "Windenfir Dog Pasture" The pasture has some goat droppings, so no surprises, this is a small farm. Please 🙏 watch your dogs. Finding some hidden Mickeys, (poo) but totally understand with all the pinecones. Animals are in own fenced area, but visible to your dogs. They just stare at you and are used to dogs. Neighbor in pasture (right when facing) occasionally has a old Golden who barks. They typically call him back, but want you to be aware. As of now the location dry and hard packed. Have fun and get some training in :) Windenfir Family

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, a tall grassy wetland-like area, several nature trails for hiking adventures where your dog(s) can explore, run & feel free, and a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and the blackberry bushes will be trimmed back. We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is fully secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We just added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who need to visit after dark. They light up the entryway, main field, and the shelter. Thank you!
