I’m a huge dog lover and avid sniff spot user, so our priority in buying this home was to have a large, open, and secure backyard that my Doberman and Heeler mix could run comfortably in. I relied on this app (almost daily) when I didn’t have my own yard, so it’s also important to me to keep the cost down so the space is more accessible for folks to come more often. Park in front of the fence with the sign, and it’ll lead to another gate and then the yard. There’s sitting areas, toys, water, poop bags, and all the other things you’ll need. We even have a cute tree house for a sweet photo op with your pups! We hope you and your dogs enjoy the space as much as we do!

This is our second spot. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GO TO THE RIGHT SPOT. Sauvie Island Farm #2 ‘shady acres’ is a fully fenced area in the back of our farm, cool and shady for these summer days. Plenty of sniffs, eagles, rabbits, deer, and other wildlife. Great views. Private. Some farm machinery and active farm fields will be visible. It is accessed by driving through the main gate to the house, and then following the signs slowly to the back pasture. It does not require 4WD. Hiking shoes or hiking boots are best here. Let us know if you have any trouble.

Private, Fully Fenced Yard in quiet cul-de-sac community. This is a great space for medium & small dogs, but big dogs have fun here too. The yard is a mix of grass, gravel, cedar chips and a covered patio. Sunny all day with little shade spots to sit. Doggie bags, garbage can & garden hose provided. We bought this yard [& house] for our dog after living in a condo, we now have two small dogs and they love their little kingdom. I think your dogs will too. We'll be away for your visit. There are neighbors, but this is a quiet community and you're not likely to hear anyone. There are neighborhood dogs, but not any adjacent or that bother us. **Fully fully fenced, even for the small guys. My dog only needs 4" to escape and he has found no gaps. It's 6 ft high on all sides as well, for the jumpers.

Contact me privately to obtain your booking code. ** Our SS is a fairly wide-open space where your dogs can run and play. We have a variety of shady spots and trees as well. There are various plants and some amazing (HELP YOURSELF) blackberries July-August. Please never bring any unvaccinated dog to our SS. (We regularly rescue abandoned puppies which are available for adoption.) Please monitor your dogs and clean up any messes, as we seem to find them after guests have been busy on their cellphones. Extra waste bags are available in the old milk box next to the porch steps. FEEL FREE to: -use any toys you find in the SS! -fill/empty kiddie pool to your liking -throw away damaged balls -contact us with suggestions or feedback Absolutely no digging is allowed. Please do not allow your dog to dig holes. Private areas: the house including the porch, and wrap around garden. Water is provided unless freezing temps are expected 1- PLEASE USE SPIGOT TO RIGHT OF GATE NEXT TO HOSE BOX. IF not working properly, blue yard hydrant handle or a line may not be open. It should always be open in summer months. Please the area east of the driveway and behind the house and have a good time exploring and playing! There are bunnies, cats and squirrels on the property so we ask that you please restrain your dog on arrival, for the first 30 seconds or so when entering the property to give those animals a chance to react to the presence of a new animal. We appreciate your business and love your dogs, just encourage them to avoid the home, porch areas and flower/fruit gardens please. Leave any hose running if found that way in summer months. Residents of the home may come and go during your reservation. This is a rare but possible occurrence. We are mindful of your space, and we are careful to ensure the gate is kept closed. Tryon Creek Oasis

Hello! Our yard is located across from the entrance to Tryon Creek State Park on Terwilliger. This is the address provided since it’s the easiest way to access our spot. Parking is on Terwilliger just south of the entrance to the park, past the bus stop, and walk across the street. You’ll see our Sniffspot sign behind a line of boulders in front of our chain link fence (see photos). Please use caution when crossing the street, walking uphill, and stepping between the large boulders. **Street parking is the only parking available and is not a problem on weekdays. Cars will park on the street if the parking lot at Tryon Creek becomes full (rare). If you should have any issue finding a parking spot on the weekend, please reach out and I can help you.** Once inside, you’ll be on our lower yard. Walk uphill and you’ll have more flat space in our upper yard. Our space is hilly and pretty rugged so appropriate shoes are recommended. You’re welcome to use the lower deck with the two chairs, side table, and umbrella. We have a doggie pool set up and a sprinkler available. Other amenities like tennis balls, toys, dog treats, human treats, etc. are also provided. We hope to have you as a guest soon! 😊
