Gorgeous land in the country. Come spend some time with your dogs and enjoy safe and private doggy freedom. 9 acres apron fenced meadow (for smaller dogs or escape artists who can't jump a 4 foot fence,} 10 acres in deep woods with a large creek and 13 remaining acres in open meadow. Seasonal pond in the upper meadow. ALL 32 acres are fenced with triple barbed wire. Sorry! No water, chairs or poop bag trash cans on site. This is not a place that gets policed by anyone but you! Please help keep this site as pristine as you find it. If you pack it in please pack it out. Please park on the gravel rather than in the grass. The I-5 of the Pacific Northern railways runs right by my property. The trains are frequent and loud. Be aware if you have sound reactive dogs (or humans). So far, no one has told me their dog was scared. Thanks!

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our nature park-like setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on some of the trails that are a little steep, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. There are three small bridges over the creek, (located at the East end, middle, and West end). If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal outdoor table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We have night lighting! There’s 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who want/need to visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***Seasonal Alert 🚨- It’s baby bunny 🐰 season March-September. They usually hide pretty well, but if your dog finds a bunny nest please cover it back up, and if a baby wanders out please put it back and redirect your dog(s). Baby bunnies have no scent to protect them from predators so even the best sniffers won’t smell the nests/bunnies. They would only notice the babies if they see them. Welcome! We offer a 1 acre, fenced FIELD for your dog(s) to run, play, sniff and bark! THIS IS A FIELD, MEDIUM & HIGH GRASS, not always mowed short. Our dogs love it! July ‘25, grass in center is longer with wildflowers, plants a grasses. The rest was brush hogged so it’s shorter but not “lawn” short. Our dogs love rolling and sniffing in it! **May-July 4** there may be fireworks displays nearby. These are usually Fri-Sat mid day into evening. Feel free to message questions if you are concerned. We also have some new rescue dogs that may be heard barking as they adjust. They are 200’ or so from spot but may be heard. Beautiful views and farm animal neighbors add to the fun. Shade trees and seating make this spot fun for all! Long and short grass, slight hills, a sand pile and dirt to dig in too! We are a farm animal sanctuary and wildlife friendly. There may be long grass, insects, farm animal poo and other farmy stuff. Fun smell things such as feathers, wool, horse hair etc is added for dogs to sniff. All is cruelty free. WINTER: Seasonal pond takes up the lower portion of the spot. It may grow and shrink throughout the season. Dogs love it! Ground will likely be soggy but we will close if entrance becomes unsafe. SUMMER: During warm weather there is a 9’ stock tank pool (not filtered) for dogs. One adult may accompany each dog but please no children. >> Please note! Perimeter fence was replaced and spot now includes additional space! There are more trees and brush included for your dogs sniffing pleasure. Please use caution, there are some new trip hazards and holes. We have walked this multiple times but things may continue to work their way out of the exposed earth. We think dogs will enjoy even more but be aware, it’s a little more wild than before! << Private parking for one or two vehicles available. If additional needed, please message host. Clean porta potty available for guest use. This is also used by others, please keep dogs leashed in this area. This park is dedicated to Dexter, the King of Bork. He was a loud, happy guy that lived to bark! He inspired Misspits Rescue who has saved hundreds of dogs and other animals. All proceeds from this rental support Misspits and the animals in our care.
