Description

Twenty-seven acres right outside of 28021 city limits. Former cattle and sheep pasture, currently empty of livestock but waiting for you and your pup(s) to explore! Variety of areas: from large open pastures to heavily wooded (but still easily accessible/walkable) areas = lots to see, hear, and sniff! No need to pick up after your pet either! Water available multiple locations: outside the fenced pastures near block building/parking via hose pipe at the well near the garden 🪴 or inside the pastures (look for the blue barrels and the cattle waterers).

HOST NOTE

Ground can be uneven in spots, watch that you don't roll an ankle! Fire ants on property. We treat them as we locate new mounds, but it's hard to stay ahead of them sometimes. We cut these pastures for hay in the spring and fall, so as the weather warms up and it rains, the grass will grow taller and we will not cut it until around Memorial Day. Ticks are a possibility, but we do not treat the property for ticks, so as the grass gets taller, a good all-over check after you visit (for humans and dogs both!) is not a bad idea!

This sprawling, fully fenced property is perfect for dogs who love to explore. With rolling hills, bumpy terrain, and tons of open space, it’s a sniff-and-sprint paradise! Great for active dogs, scent hounds, and adventure-seekers! ✅ Fully enclosed with secure fencing ✅ Natural terrain: hilly, bumpy, and tons of sensory enrichment ✅ Water station & shade available inside carport and through trails ✅ Poop bags & trash bin provided Trash & Amenities: The trash can and other amenities are inside the carport and at the picnic table in the back near the bamboo forest. Seating: We have a table and four chairs in the bamboo/shaded area in the very back if you would like to have a picnic off the ground. At any time, you can request more seating. In addition, we have a bench inside the carport and in our front yard. Fence: The fence is 3 feet on three sides and five feet on the road side. The front fence is wood slats/split rail with wire. On other sides we have wire and chain link. *There are critters that like to lift up our wire fencing. Just beware if you have a tiny dog.* Wildlife: You may see snakes, rabbits, deer, and squirrels. There have been times that deer will be stuck inside our fencing. Grounds: It is a hilly and lumpy so be careful where you step. You can see holes dug in the yard from dogs. It is fine if they dig. We spot treat poison oak and ivy with an all natural mixture that includes vinegar. We do not use chemicals. ** Watch out for fire ant hills** Water: You have access to our well and a large water bowl. There should be at least one small water bowl in the carport as well. **The pool is officially open as of April 5th!** Welcome! We have a fun property your dogs will love! We have a 2 acre property, which includes approximately a half acre fenced area, a 1 acre unfenced area, and a separately fenced inground pool area. Only dogs are allowed in the swimming pool (unless you're actively helping or playing with them). Two creeks outline our property and dogs are welcome anywhere on the property. We tend to keep the grass in the back of the property a bit longer to support the bees, but it also makes for lots more sniffing for the pups! If you're using the unfenced portion of the yard, dogs must be on leash. We have dogs of our own, but we will keep them secure in the house when you're using the property so you'll have the whole yard and pool to yourself.
