Rules of Play Policies are important to keep the park a safe, fun place for everyone. Before visiting the park, members must promise to adhere to the following: 1. Every dog over the age of 7 months must be spayed or neutered. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. As part of our commitment to creating the safest possible setting for you and your pets, The Dog Park at Happy Tails utilizes the Kisi gate access system. This secure gate lock system uses an app on your phone to gain entry to the park. This means that you never have to remember a key or key fob. Before visiting the park, members and guests must provide proof of rabies and distemper vaccinations and be evaluated for socialization. Please contact our office to schedule an evaluation prior to visiting the park. 2. Owners must always be present to supervise their dogs. There is a limit of three dogs per adult. Your dog must always be in visual sight and under your control. 3. You are responsible for any injury or damage caused by your dog. After all, they are dogs and sometimes react in unpredictable ways. 4. For safety reasons, all prong (pinch), spike, studded, and slip training collars must be removed before entering the Park. Gentle leaders and harnesses should also be removed before entering the Park. 5. Dog waste bags are available throughout the Park at no cost. You are responsible for cleaning up after your dogs. Trash receptacles are also available. Please make sure you tie the bags shut. 6. There is water available next to the pavilion. Please make sure the water is turned off after use as it comes from our well, which serves the house and Happy Tails too. 7. Dogs that show aggression towards humans or other dogs must be immediately leashed and removed from the Park. 8. Dogs at the Park must always be treated humanely. 9. Dogs MUST be walked to and from the Park on a leash. 10. All children under the age of sixteen must be supervised by a parent. 11. Shoes must always be worn in the Park - except for the dogs, of course. 12. All dogs must be healthy and have current rabies, distemper/parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations. If your dog has been given the intranasal bordetella vaccine, they will not be allowed at the Park for 10 days post-vaccination. Proof of current vaccinations must be on file with Happy Tails. 13. The Dog Park is for members only! If you would like a non-member to come, please contact Happy Tails. If you are found letting in a non-member into the Dog Park your membership will be terminated. 14. It is required that you have an Acknowledgment of Risks agreement on file. 15. HAVE FUN WITH YOUR PETS!!!
Finger Lakes Dog Park is a privately reservable, fully-fenced, half acre canine recreation area. We enthusiastically welcome ALL dogs, but the private nature of the park is especially beneficial for reactive or shy dogs, traveling dogs, handicapped dogs, puppies, or seniors. We are the first and only dog park in Schuyler County, located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region. The area is known for its rolling farmland, many vineyards, beautiful lakes, and plentiful waterfalls and gorges. Numerous state parks offer many camping opportunities. And the county is also home to the only national forest in the state. So whether you are a local resident-or a visitor to our little piece of heaven-be sure to bring your special friend(s) for an enjoyable outing in the country. We are open every day (including all holidays) from 8am to 8pm. The park is not lighted (yet) so reserve your spot accordingly during the winter. Happy romping!

Fun in Freeville: Fully Fenced Yard, Open Space, and Trails For Fido
Welcome to Fun in Freeville: Fenced Yard Edition! Our property includes a 2,500 sq. ft. fully fenced-in yard, a larger open field, and a 5-acre trail. The yard includes deck access and seating. There is a large umbrella for shade and rain in the summer. The ground in the yard is pretty flat and mostly grass. The open space in the back is also grass with some trees and bushes. It can get a little muddy during very wet times of the year but there is a hose available. There is a kiddie pool in the yard for your pup to cool down in the summer. We have a small fire pit in the yard if you want to start a fire in cooler weather. There's also a large fire pit on the trail with bench seating and a picnic table. Bring your binoculars if you enjoy birding. We have lots of hummingbirds in the summer and have seen barred owls on the trail. Please let us know if you're interested in having a fire or want to know if the pool is out. We'd be happy to start a fire for you if we're available or ensure the kiddie pool has fresh water. If there are other extras you'd like to see, let us know! We do have this spot set to a 7-hour advance booking - please feel free to message to see if the space is available with less than 7 hours notice. We're usually able to accommodate most requests. Fun in Freeville - 5.5 Acre Trail
Welcome to Fun in Freeville: Trail Edition! A short trail for your dog that likes to explore the woods. There is a fire pit about 100 yards in with seating and some natural doggy obstacles for those interested in agility and parkour exercises. We currently have one open trail that runs the length of our 5.5 acre property and back, and we hope to add more this spring. Our favorite times to walk this trail are in the fall and winter. It can get pretty wet during certain times of the year. I would definitely wear tall waterproof footwear in the spring and summer and use bug spray. There's a large fire pit with benches and a picnic table that you're welcome to use. We are doing our best to maintain and further develop the trail but please be aware that there is uneven ground throughout and watch your step. As you walk through, you will encounter different types of forest and trees. It's always fun to bring binoculars if you're into birding. You might get lucky and see our resident barred owls! Our property also includes a fully fenced yard you are welcome to use as well. See our other spot for more details and information: https://www.sniffspot.com/to/3yhyy
