Description

** We are open and accepting bookings on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Years Day. ** 23 acres enclosed with 4' high woven wire fence, a mix of open field and heavy woods, sometimes turkey, grouse, gophers, and bunnies, lots of "sniff therapy"! Private entrance is shaded with easy access right onto the wooded trails! The portapotty and dog rinse station are located in the parking area. We have bug sprays and poop bags at the entrance and the far end of the field for you to use if needed. Special visitation hours or larger groups may be available under prior arrangement. Shoot us a message, and we can usually make larger groups or people traveling to/from dog competitions happen! For those traveling, we might also be able to accommodate visits outside of our normal hours. ***now that we have freezing temps at night, we are not leaving water out in the field.***

***While we try to keep trails cleared, there's only so much we can do when we're dealing with the aftermath of repetitive winter storms and massive amounts of tree damage. Please use common sense and enjoy the other portions of the fenced 20 acres we've made available for you to use. *** ****PLEASE KEEP DOGS ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO AND FROM THE CAR TO THE FENCED AREA. It's come to our attention that there's been several instances of dogs visiting different neighbors, and that can't happen. The 23 acres inside the fence is a mix of 16 acres of wooded trails and 7 acres of grass field with mowed paths, so expect sticks, branches and bugs, maybe bunnies and squirrels and an occasional deer. Definitely expect unlevel/uneven footing in places. Depending on the weather, you may need bug spray.

Golf Cart$35

Golf Cart $35 Our gas powered golf cart will be ready for you in the field upon your arrival. Navigate our field and trails on our 2-person golf cart. Requires 24 hours advance notice.

Group of 21-30 dogs$150

Use of the Sniffspot space and parking for up to 30 total dogs (10 over the current max of 20 dogs) and up to 15 cars total parking. This fee covers the length of the single visit.

Additional rules

Please take all trash with you, we do have a trash can near the gate for you to leave your used poop bags. The gates only open to the INSIDE of the Sniffspot. Do not force them if you meet resistance, it damages the hinges and alignment. NO SMOKING outside of your vehicle. Please keep dogs leashed until you're inside the fenced area.

It's a great property that we set up for our dogs that others can enjoy! Michel has been showing and field trialing with her Vizslas for decades and bought the property so she would have her own private area to exercise her dogs, and recently penned the best selling book Raised by Vizslas A Collection of Random Thoughts, Opinions and Ramblings On How to Live With Vizslas! Mark joined her in 2018 and is the one who puts the hours into maintaining the property and is the one bringing the private dog park idea to fruition! He has many ideas to implement in the coming years!

There are 15 acres of native prairie grasses and plants. There are a few trees and rolling hills. There is approximately 1.5 miles of mowed trails that loop and connect, creating several options for new routes for each visit. There is also an outhouse available if needed. However, it is within our normally private area, so dogs must be on leashes and there are hooks for leashes while in use.

Paws N' Claws Pond and Play

This place has a pond to swim and fields to walk in or play fetch in. There is a fenced in area as well . A water hose for fresh water. Also, just so you’re aware I do board dogs out of this facility, but their doors will be closed at the time a sniffspot guest does their visit. and you could hear some barking. Otherwise enjoy! Beautiful backyard plenty of space for your pup to run around

About 3.5 acres fenced in, some yard, some woods for your dogs to explore. A hiking trail as well. On weekdays we would prefer 4-8 hours notice so we can make sure our dogs are secured in the house. We have dog toys for your use just please return them to the tote after use.

RMC Homestead 40 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Stanley

Hello all! We are located on 40 acres. 7 acres is open space with fields, trails, and even some animals to sniff! (Chickens, goats, and horses) the back 30 is swampy woods. Fun for pups but not so fun for their owners. Keep a watchful eye! There is a mud puddle, not big enough for big dog swimming but definitely extremely fun to splash in! Lots of hills and long open stretches to get those legs moving. We’re happy to have you and hope your pups have a blast!
