Description

There is a 8 foot wide, half mile path that runs the perimeter of a 6 acre wooded lot. The path is mulched. There is no fence, but lined by trees. If your dog has good recall, they are free to roam, as are you. Its a beautiful, peaceful and serene walk around a quiet wooded area. There is some terrain, and good for a runner as well. You will be required to pick up after your dog.

Hello, I am a long time volunteer for dog rescue. My first was Greyhounds in RHode Island and that and currently, I am with the Great Dane Rescue of New England. We recently moved to Virginia and have a vacant 6 acre piece of land that we just cleared a .5 walkable loop through the woods. Always have a problem child dog at some point, it was difficult finding places to walk them. Now we have this area and its a beautiful haven. They are always leashed with me, as my dogs have no manners (lol). Its a very nice flat and safe area for them and so peaceful for me to know its ok.

Faux Mountain Views

The views are incredible and we call it our Faux Mountains especially with a light fog. You can typically see around 4 miles out across the horizon. Fall leaves will make this a great photo opp for those looking for pet pictures. Over half of a mile of Trails and a couple of small fields focused around the pine trees in a previously logged area. Please do not cross the creeks. We plan to open that area up once we get signage to over a mile of trails. There is a hidden fallen down house can you find it along the trails? please be careful of the main road, and try not to let your dogs run off. During deer season please wear blaze orange or pink. Gravel Parking area is just outside the gate, the single wire electric fence isn't ever on. We hope to improve upon this if it shows popularity. Be mindful of wildlife, farm life, and please keep your dog under control at all times. The drive around the pines is pretty easy walking. The fields may have sticks or stones in them so be mindful of your fur babies feet in those areas. If you head down past the cow waterer you can let your dog get a sip from the creek if need be, but please don't go to the other side yet.

Over 80 acres of undeveloped woods and creeks, close enough to the city, but feels like the country. Here you can find places to roam freely far away from hectic city life. Bring your camera, metal detectors, pups, and bug spray, sunscreen, (provided when available!) Under slow construction for updates and features, its a great adventure spot if you and your furry friends are the curious and active type! We have a large 2 acre piece of land located in Troy, VA, 15-20 minutes to Charlottesville, 10-15 from Lake Monticello, 45-60 minutes from Richmond, VA. 1 full acre is fully fenced in with a 5ft fence and under fence wiring for those curious pups who like to dig. We have a picnic table with a 15 ft umbrella as well as a few trees for shade, a few chairs, water for the pups, drinks for the pawrents, a fire pit, hose, doggy bags, pooper scooper, trash cans, as well as a restroom available upon request. Entrance is separate from the house and to the side of the house. We also offer doggie daycare and boarding for a fee.
