Communication is required with other members to discuss comfort levels. • When new members come to the park, please keep your dog(s) out of the way to give the new dog(s) space to adjust to their surroundings, especially near the entry gates. • Dogs are not permitted to run the fences in an aggressive or antagonizing manner. • To avoid a dog fight, you must agree that you will control and have command over your dog at all times to watch for antagonistic or aggressive behavior. Under no circumstances should you ever grab a fighting dog by the collar, or anywhere near the dogs’ head, to avoid a bite or attack. In the event a dog is involved in a fight that cannot be quickly or easily broken up, use the closest air horn to startle the dogs apart. These airhorns are for emergencies only; they are not for behavior or disciplinary correction. • Any aggression witnessed must be brought to the staffs’ attention immediately. All fights and/or altercations between dogs must be reported to the staff immediately and an incident report must be completed. • No human or dog food, including treats, are permitted on the premises. Non-alcoholic beverages are allowed – No glass containers of any kind. • Smoking of any kind is not permitted. • Everyone must be respectful and courteous towards other members, volunteers, and NHS staff. Heather's Private Dog Park In Jacksonville
My backyard is a quiet spot set at the back of a private road. You’ll hear more birds and squirrels than you will cars or traffic. One side of the yard neighbors a mostly empty lot and the other a wooded area with lots of tall pine trees. A water retention ditch and another fence separates the back of the yard from the neighborhood behind mine. In addition to various dog toys and sticks, there is a mound in the middle of the yard for the septic system. My foster dogs love running up and down the little hills! The fire pit can be used on cold days and there are two spots for accessing water - one of which can also be used for a quick bath or rinse before heading home. There are also water misters, located by the sun shade, to help cool down on those extra hot days. Just flip the switch by the nozzle head on the water spout and enjoy! Please help keep the space clean and tidy by picking up all dog poop and disposing in the little, black trash can just outside the fence. There are recycling and garbage bins for any other items that need to be disposed of. No smoking, please. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your time here with your pups!
