3 acres of full fenced area that can be closed off into separate areas (ie: main yard around the house, side yard, and lower pasture). There are cut and maintained trails in the lower pasture and then many smaller trail systems created by the deers and the dogs. In the summer it is buggy- particularly in the wooded area. There is also an additional acre-ish in the “arena” that your welcome to explore, however it is partially/poorly fenced and it is connected to the area where the goat pasture is, so if your dog has poor recall or issues with livestock it would be best to keep them on a long line if your going out there.

Our property is a dog’s paradise! We have an open backyard, wooded trails, and an orchard out back with tall grasses. We keep the trails and orchard mowed for walking, but your dog will have ample woods, puddles, and other adventures at their disposal! Since we live in the woods, we occasionally have trees fall down on our 5 foot welded wire fence. Please be mindful if your dog is an exit seeker, although we walk the fence and mend any spots we see often. There is a large pole barn visible near the gate where you enter that is our neighbor’s yard. His yard/barn is not visible from the rest of the property once you’re down the path a little ways. For SPRING/SUMMER months, tics and mosquitos are around. We do not spray our land, so make sure you and your pup have the protection you need. In summer mosquitos are often worse near dawn and at dusk, especially in thicker parts of the woods, and less so in the backyard and orchard areas. In the winter, we snowmobile our trails to keep them walkable! There may be slippery spots here and there, so prepare accordingly! Be sure to look ahead at the roads on MN 511 in case of winter weather.

This spot has all the smells a dog could want. Enter the property through the electric gate and park onsite, then release the hounds. Host will be on-site to let you and then leave. The yard has a lot of space for running and playing catch. There is a large area of sand that dogs can dig and play in. Yard is fully fenched with fabric on the fence to keep dogs focused in the yard. We have seen deer, racoons, possum, wild turkies, bunnies and tons of squirrels run through our yard.

Rice Creek Sniffspot

A large, open 1.25 acre fenced in yard with multiple small hills that is bordered on the west side by a public walking trail (with 6 foot fence) and on the north side by Rice Creek (with 5 foot fence). Note that the creek is not directly accessible from the Sniffspot. During the winter months, deer and foxes pass just outside of the fenced in yard, while in warmer months the creek entices additional wildlife as well as the occasional canoeist or kayak. Agility equipment pictured are available during the warmer months and are not available in the winter. There's abundant street parking as we are located at a dead-end. Please do not park in the driveway. Enter the yard using the gate located to the left of the garage.

My backyard is almost 1 acre of fully fenced fun! Conveniently located, easy parking. Low visibility of other dogs or people. Tons of room to run and sniff! *Water is off until May. Please bring water.* The water is usually left ready to go, but the spigot on the side of the house is off. To use it, open the valve on the side of the house by the driveway. When you leave, please shut it off again, it tends to drip otherwise. Thanks!

Winter Update 2025/2026 - still open for sniffs! We’ve taken down the hammock and the sunshade on the gazebo, and put the pool away… but still open for sniffing fun! Nearly 1/3 of an acre in Roseville available for your dog to sniff until their heart’s content! Open mowed grassy area wide enough for zoomies and long enough for fetch, as well as natural/unmanicured shaded areas for “jungle sniffari’s”. Not far off of Highway 36 and 35E, enjoy the perks of room to run while having the privacy of your own space. Plenty of seating for humans underneath a shaded gazebo, with a table and basic amenities for guest use. Please be aware that we do have other dogs in the neighborhood. This includes our direct neighbors to the north, who we share a chain link fence with. If you are visiting on an evening or weekend, there’s a good chance their dog will be outside also! Be careful of any ice that may be around - the “grippy stuff” I put down is cat litter for traction… totally dog safe!
