** We are open and accepting bookings on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Years Day. ** 23 acres enclosed with 4' high woven wire fence, a mix of open field and heavy woods, sometimes turkey, grouse, gophers, and bunnies, lots of "sniff therapy"! Private entrance is shaded with easy access right onto the wooded trails! The portapotty and dog rinse station are located in the parking area. We have bug sprays and poop bags at the entrance and the far end of the field for you to use if needed. Special visitation hours or larger groups may be available under prior arrangement. Shoot us a message, and we can usually make larger groups or people traveling to/from dog competitions happen! For those traveling, we might also be able to accommodate visits outside of our normal hours. ***now that we have freezing temps at night, we are not leaving water out in the field.***

Paws N' Claws Pond and Play

This place has a pond to swim and fields to walk in or play fetch in. There is a fenced in area as well . A water hose for fresh water. Also, just so you’re aware I do board dogs out of this facility, but their doors will be closed at the time a sniffspot guest does their visit. and you could hear some barking. Otherwise enjoy! Wheaton Wild

There are 15 acres of native prairie grasses and plants. There are a few trees and rolling hills. There is approximately 1.5 miles of mowed trails that loop and connect, creating several options for new routes for each visit. There is also an outhouse available if needed. However, it is within our normally private area, so dogs must be on leashes and there are hooks for leashes while in use.

Black Dog Farmstead Beach

Welcome to our private beach on the Buffalo River - the ultimate summer SniffSpot! The river is slow moving, clear, shallow and all sand. It is about 1-2 feet deep near our beach, and deeper on the opposite side of the river. In heavy rain, it ebbs and flows in depths. It is a very safe place to wade, play fetch, dig in the sand, teach dogs about water or just hang out on a warm day. You will park and walk to the beach on mowed trails through our woods about 600 feet to the beach. It is completely secluded on a beautiful bend in the river where you will be surrounded by woods. The SniffSpot availability is limited to the beach only, and not the rest of our property.

Country Sights and Sounds

A beautiful mix of field, woods, and wetland, let your pup(s) run off that energy! The field trail is almost a 0.5 mi loop, but add on an extra trail to get more of your steps in! A short out-and-back path surrounded by tall wetland grass will lead you to a cool, clean segment of Lowes Creek (when it is dry enough for us to mow the trail…boots recommended!). Every season is special and accessible! Simba's Playground

We have a large fenced yard to share, I have everything dog related that you might need here so just bring your furkid(s) and enjoy! I will leave any items out that you specifically ask for and basics will always be outside. If your pup likes water I would gladly set up the dog pool for your visit but otherwise it may be empty/put up. If they like balls or something else I probably have many that I will set out just let me know so I can make sure the right items are available for you!
