My name is Kathleen, I am the matriarch of our little slice of heaven. I am a US Army veteran, mother of 3 adult children, one of which who is also a veteran, wife of a retired army Iraq/Afghanistan war vet. We are a working homestead/farm. We do have livestock and free ranging chickens/ducks/barn cats as well as goats, sheep, pigs and cows. We welcome all animals to visit, but please know that the animals are not going to enjoy being chased so if your pet has a high prey drive keep this in mind. The cows are friendly, but skittish with new people. We do have a smaller fenced in area where we can allow folks to let their pets off leash if you worry about them chasing the farm animals. We can bring our dogs inside to give your pup free range of this area. Beyond the pasture is a large densely wooded area where you are also welcome to take your pets, but we are surrounded by livestock so please be aware of the risks involved if you stray beyond our property lines. Small kiddie pools which double as water and swimming for ducks and chickens are throughout the property. The pigs are large and will hurt you, please stay out of their enclosure.
