Live Oaks on the Bayou is a private retreat where dogs can run free and their people can relax in comfort. ✨ New this season! Cozy up by the fire pit, lounge under our spacious tent with extra chairs, or keep refreshments cold in our outdoor coolers. Whether you’re here for a few hours of play or an overnight adventure, there’s room to spread out and enjoy. 🐾 Dog-friendly fun: shady trails, grassy fields, water play zones, and plenty of space for zoomies or lounging. 🔥 Human comfort: BBQ pit, tent shelter, fire pit, coolers, and loungers. 🌙 Overnight Tent Experience: fall & winter are perfect for starlit camping with pups by your side. While fencing is partial in some areas, the property is so spacious that dogs remain happily engaged on-site — most pups are too busy exploring to wander off. Need a little extra chill? Reserve our one-of-a-kind Candle Mountain wax-melting experience 🕯️✨ or book the BBQ zone for a slow, relaxing afternoon. Whether your dog is a zoomer or a lounger, they’ll feel right at home here.

⚠️ Potential Hazards • This is a country property with natural terrain — expect some uneven ground, tree roots, and seasonal tall grass. • We have a bayou/pond area, so please supervise pups who like water. • Wildlife such as squirrels, birds, and the occasional deer may be seen. • Fencing is partial, but the property is large and open so pups usually stay happily engaged on-site. We recommend keeping an eye on your dog’s recall, especially if they’re prone to exploring. Most guests find the space peaceful and easy to manage.

• Fire is hosted/monitored by us (or Mr. Kettler). • Keep a 10-ft clear zone around the pit; no climbing or tossing sticks. • Children & dogs within arm’s reach near the fire. • No accelerants; no glass in the fire pit. • We reserve the right to pause or end the fire for safety/weather. • Quiet hours respected; pack out all personal trash.

The Back 40

When you book "The Back 40" you have access to the original, smaller, The Mannerly Dog Sniffspot, so no one will be using it while you're here! You'll still have your own private dog park, just a bigger one. You will not see us or our dogs. One neighbor has chickens - they are catty-corner to The Back 40, in the rear. They are in a pen and may cluck or crow at times. the yard catty-corner on the other side occasionally has a couple of dogs in it, but it's pretty rare - it could happen though. You might see or hear humans on the other side of the wooden fence that runs the full 300 feet along the side of both Sniffspots. Otherwise, the area is serene and quiet with plenty of squirrels and birds. Sit and rest or play with your dog - either way, we hope you enjoy your visit!
