Dogs are welcome to swim—bring towels and be prepared for some mud if it’s been raining or you have a pond monster doggy. Woods have wonderful smells, my dogs sometimes find delightful things to roll in. A hose is available for use on warm days. We do have chickens on site and ask you not allow your dog to harass them as you enter and leave (chickens are in a separate fenced area and in a coop/run). My dogs will be in the house—some barking may happen on your arrival but they will not be loose. Wildlife may be encountered (deer, squirrels, crawfish, muskrats, many birds and snapping turtles). **Note: I didn’t want to claim the site as accessible as it is grass and some uneven ground, but feel free to reach out if you need an accommodation to access the spot and we can discuss what is possible** We welcome all. This land provides all terrain options for whatever your dog desires. You can stay close to your car in a field setting or walk deep into the valley to explore the creek bed on a hot day. I have built 4 campsites on the property (also for rent,) so there are 4 unique sitting spots, hammocks, tables, and fire pits. We have 2 golden retrievers (1M/1FM, both fixed) and a golden doodle (1m/fixed) who can either be put in the house during your visit or come socialize, whatever you prefer. Our property is a mix of 2 open pastures, and trails through the woods. There is a smaller totally fenced in area (former goat enclosure) that’s great for working on recall and scent work. We have 2 houses with yards at the address. Simply follow the driveway past the yards to the Spot behind. When you see the white barn, you’re there! Feel free to roam and play. Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. On the other side of the property is a shooting range (about a mile away) so if your pooch is gun shy be aware you could hear shots.

Let your dogs taken in all the smells and sounds of the countryside with this beautiful property with not another house in site. there is a barn with a couple ponies in the pasture, a long, well maintained, grassy front yard with the driveway leading up to the house. you are free to let your dog run as fast as they can between the barn and house or throw a frisbee or ball, if they have good recall or let them take a dip in the pond. there is a dock if they enjoy dock diving, but it can be muddy when they are getting out. there is a wooden area with maintained trails throughout the property. keep your eyes peeled for deer that are known to be throughout the property. there is a fenced in section of the yard in the back with a playset dogs can run up and down the slides and on the platforms, but that does attach to the main house where there are 2 other dogs, a spayed 10yo husky, and a 2 year old spayed lab, so if wanting to use the fence, let me know and i can block the exit from the house to the fenced in area from the house dogs while you are visiting with yours. there is a hose to wash off if needed.

Welcome to our spot, the perfect place for your friend to enjoy some off-leash time in a safe and controlled environment. We understand that some dogs may be reactive or require a bit more space, and we are happy to accommodate their needs. Our location offers plenty of room for your dog to explore and play without the worry of unexpected encounters. No immediate neighbors have dogs that share a fence with us. Occasionally, a dog in the distance may be outside near the southeast corner, but this is rare, ensuring a calm and enjoyable visit for your pet. A kiddie pool is available in the summer, but I will need to be notified in advance on whether or not you would like it filled. Two humans per dog are allowed unless arrangements are made with me in advance. Please note that the yard may be wet or muddy after rain or snow. Additionally, mole holes might be present in some areas (providing extra sniffing opportunities!) 😜 Additionally, our spot is conveniently located right by the B&O Trail, making it easy for you to warm up or cool down your visit with a walk.
