Description
Peekskill Dog Park Hours of Operation: Dawn to Dusk Responsibility – Any person bringing a dog into this facility assumes the legal responsibility, jointly & separately, with the owner of the dog, for any damage, disease or injury to persons, other dogs or property, caused by the dog. All persons using the facility, by entering it, agree to indemnify the City of Peekskill and hold the City of Peekskill harmless for any harm from the use of this facility. • All dogs must be licensed, current with all shots, healthy & wearing a collar, current license tags & identification at all times. • All dogs must be leashed upon entering/exiting the enclosure – leashes must be in owners’ possession at all times • OWNERS MUST CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR DOGS & CARRY OUT OR DISPOSE OF WASTE IN RECEPTACLES PROVIDED • Leaving dogs unattended is prohibited – dogs must remain with owners voice control & insight • Aggressive dogs are not permitted – Owners must remove their dogs upon the first sign of aggression • Dogs must be accompanied by individuals 16 years or older • Children must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult. No children under the age of 9 are permitted in the Dog Park • No puppies less than 4 months of age • No dogs that are known to be sick or to have parasites • No smoking or littering • NO FOOD / DOG TREATS / Alcohol / Glass • Fill any holes your dog digs • Use of dog toys at the owner’s risk & liability • Gates must remain closed at all times • No bikes, skateboards, or roller blades are allowed in the dog park • No pinch, choker, or spiked collars allowed • Small dogs are defined as 30LBS or less • ALL OTHER PARK RULES APPLY Reporting – Any incident, problem, violation, emergency, etc. Must be reported immediately to the Police Department (914) 737-8000. Our spot is located right across the road from the beautiful Chadwick Lake in Newburgh! We have 1/4 acre fenced in backyard with regularly trimmed grass. About half of the yard is flat and the other half is on a hill. The hill is great for tiring out your pup! It backs up to a wooded area. There is a deck and a patio with furniture and umbrellas. We provide dog toys that are sanitized between visits. Please BYO water and bowl/container. Hope to have you for a visit soon! I cannot have all the poop :) There is a park with a garbage bag 200 yards from my house if you want to dispose of it quickly. Right out of my driveway, 200 yards on your left. Pull over and toss the bag into the garbage there. **Back patio is off limits. It is not fenced but please respect this space, tables, chairs, etc., as my private space and refrain from sitting/lounging. Please also refrain from in using the swing set. Please do your best to keep pups from running through any plantings! All other space in front yard near the river and backyard grassy area and woods are available to explore! ***I have recently found a lot of poop in my yard. You MUST clean up after your dogs. If it continues I will have to shut down my spot. Please keep a watchful eye on your dogs and clean up their poop. I cannot police the yard after every visitor and clean up their poop.
