*10/27/24 update: We added a few more things to our outdoor project list and the scheduling is not very predictable. Rather than opening our books, we ask that you just send a message and we will find a time that works just for you! Otherwise, we'll open the schedule again for traditional bookings as soon as we can. Thanks! Welcome from the Oak Ridge Standard Poodles and their humans! We invite you to stop by and visit! The yard is fully enclosed with a 6 foot bamboo privacy fence and there is plenty of room to run and play. You'll have full access to a yard level deck, two patios, and a fire pit. Additional dog activities include: large digging area, weave poles, dog walk, and hanging rope toys. Other items available upon request- see extras! There are chairs and tables in various spots year round. When the weather allows, there is a sectional couch, dog cots, and hammocks as well. The water bowl is large and can be filled/refreshed as needed from the outdoor water spigot under the deck. During your visit, you'll find complimentary dog treats, toys, towels, wipes, poop bags and more! We also provide chilled bottled water (in a cooler) for the humans as well as sanitizer, bug spray, and sunscreen if needed. The resident dogs cannot see you from anywhere in the yard, but they may hear you depending on your location and activity level. This means they may bark on rare occasion from inside the house. You may also hear neighborhood children at the nearby park. One of our next door neighbors has dogs that could be outside in their fenced yard and may see you upon arrival. However, once you are inside the sniff spot, those dogs will not be able to see you. Guest Wi-Fi: Network-sniffspot Password-sniffspot Parking/Security- We strongly prefer that you pull into the driveway and park on the left side close to the house/garage. Once parked, this area is not visible to our dogs from inside the home, which means they are less likely to bark hello greetings. 🐩 It also means the curious/friendly/inquisitive neighbors will not approach you. Gated access to the sniff spot is on the left side of our home just a few feet from the designated/recommended parking area. The gate is secured with a lock that is opened with a code. You may wish to unlock the gate first and then get your pup out of the vehicle. Security cameras monitor all outdoor spaces. There is some fire wood stacked near the fire pit. And there are a number of mature trees, so occasionally there may be downed branches in the yard after a weather event.

Fee- $7-10 We will start a fire for you to enjoy during your visit. Roasting sticks and a cosmic flame packet also available. You are responsible for maintaining safety while using the fire pit and host will extinguish the fire after your visit. Availability is determined based on the date/time if your booking. Fee- $5 each Lawn games can be set up for your visit. Options include: bean bags, ladder toss, horse shoes, croquet, and spike ball. Additional rules

It is strongly preferred that you park in the driveway rather than on the street. It is a very long drive, and the resident dogs will likely see you walk up...which means they will bark (and bark and bark) to say hello. However, if you park in the driveway on the left side close to the garage, the spoos will not be able to see you exit your vehicle. Which means...no barking! 🐩 😀

Welcome to our safe haven! In this club, there is no such thing as a bad dog and ALL dogs and humans (including the little ones!) are welcome and loved. I am the proud mama of two fearful and reactive dogs and work as a trainer and caregiver specializing in fear-based aggression and reactivity. We built this yard specifically for fence jumpers and dogs that need and deserve a quiet and private space to play and feel safe. Our spot’s entrance is remotely controlled, allowing us to ensure there is zero risk of anyone entering the yard during your visit, and that folks arrive and leave at the right times for ultimate safety. When you arrive, you’ll hear me say hi over the Ring cameras and buzz you in! (Deaf or hard of hearing folks, just let me know and I’ll share detailed written instructions to ensure you’re able to get in safely and easily without the need to hear me! 💜) We believe our guests deserve security and privacy, and will never enter the yard unless you have specifically requested that we do (i.e. if there is an emergency and you have expressly asked me to come out to the yard and help you). While you’re here, the space is yours and yours alone. Please ensure your SniffSpot notifications are on so I can message you if people are walking by on the street before you exit the gate! Our yard is spacious, wooded, and green with full 8ft privacy fencing including inwardly-angled fence extenders. Doggie extras: get ready for wooded trails, “barkour” obstacles, the perfect grassy bowled lawn for fetch, agility jumps and tunnels, a tennis ball bit, and so much more. For the humans - we hope you’ll enjoy our Adirondack chairs, snacks, and when it’s warm, our hammock chairs and swing set. The trails are mostly wooded, and there is a ravine with a small creek (often dry in the summer). There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced.
