Advanced Waterfowl Training1,000 credits

Taking on Advanced Waterfowl Retriever Clients for $1000 per month. Clients pay for and Bring Dogs food. Bring as often or as little as you want within that month but it should be understood reinforcement IS important to my program so the longer the dog is with me (at least to start)… the better for results longterm. This is a great option for an Owner that simply wants their dog ready for season.

Basic Obedience500 credits

Taking New Retrievers on for Basic Obedience for $500 a month. Clients pay for and Bring Dogs food. Bring as often or as little as you want within that month but it should be understood reinforcement IS important to my program so the longer the dog is with me (at least to start)… the better for results longterm.

Retriever Training Post Basic775 credits

Taking on Waterfowl Retriever Clients for $775 per month. Clients pay for and Bring Dogs food. Bring as often or as little as you want within that month but it should be understood reinforcement IS important to my program so the longer the dog is with me (at least to start)… the better for results longterm.

Hi Folks! I am Rob Augustine. I have been a dog lover and owner my whole life. Growing up Mom and Dad had a litter of Golden’s and that started my love for Retrievers. I love em all but Labs have a deep hold on me. Obviously Golden’s too… The Skills I have that relate best to these pups are rooted in Fundamentals and Repetition. All dogs are different IMO but I have been successful with even the biggest of bruisers without any need for much other than a pinch collar. I don’t discourage electric correction for certain cases but training in that way is *not my specialty. A combo of patience, love, and leaning of setting proper expectations can generally be accomplished softly after initial expectations have been set.

Our yard is around .25 acres and fully fenced with a 6ft privacy fence. Only 5 minutes from downtown! We do have a deck (perfect for throwing that ball!) and a patio. We live on a cul-de-sac so parking can be a bit wonky but there are usually spaces available or you’re welcome to pull into our driveway if one of our cars is not there. ***please read*** There’s been a recent disturbance in the lot behind our yard, some developer is cutting down trees and possibly paving a road to a housing unit that has yet to be built. At the moment we’re not sure exactly what is happening but we are gathering more info and will hopefully have a timeline of how long this construction work will be. If your dog is afraid of loud machinery, you may want to reschedule your visit for a Sunday. As of now that seems to be the only day of the week they’re not working back there. We are very sad this is happening near our yard, as part of the reason we bought this house was the privacy we felt in our back yard. Please bare with us as we try to navigate this situation, we will post updates as we get them. We totally understand if you choose to cancel your visit!

Please come let your pups run around in our large Lakeside yard! Our 3 pups (sometimes 4 if we have a foster) love all the open space, so we hope yours will too. We will try to always leave a towel and some little treats up on the deck, so you’re more than welcome to help yourself to anything up there! There should be a bucket of toys, poop baggies in a ziploc bag that are likely inside of the weatherproof tub by the deck stairs, a pooper scooper and a hose etc, so please feel free to use any of it as needed.
