Some of our surrounding neighbors have dogs, but they usually stay indoors. When they are outside, they're kept in separate enclosures and will never be directly on the other side of the fence. So while you usually can't see other dogs from our property, you may hear them barking from time to time. We also have two dogs that will be kept inside during your stay. And while they normally stay out of sight and earshot, you may occasionally hear them bark.

The path down to the back yard has a hill, so make sure you can physically navigate it without trouble. We also live on a pretty public road (which rarely gets congested, even during high traffic hours) but you can't hear or see much traffic from the backyard. We always try to stay out of sight when guests are hear, but you might catch a glimpse of us (or our toddler) through a window every once in a while!

As soon as you enter the gate to our property, you can park on the concrete pad that's directly on the right. To enter the backyard, you are welcome to use the gates on either side of the house, but the one to the left of the garage is usually the easiest to navigate.

Description

Welcome to Brockett Bark! 🐾 Friends have told us our backyard feels like a small city park: a fully fenced 1.2 acre property lined with trees that provide lots of shade and privacy. It's rare to find a spot like this so close to the city! There's lots of room here for activity—whether your fur-babies like to roam and sniff all the smells, find and chew on endless sticks, play long distance fetch (with our handy chuck-it), or just get some serious exercise running at full speed up and down the hill. We have two large breed dogs ourselves (an Australian Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees) and this yard is their happy place! Our Pyr is a rescue who can't be off leash or go to dog parks, so our property is the only space where he's free to be himself. And when we discovered Sniffspot, we wanted to offer the same opportunity for other doggos like him. No pup should be kept from the joys of life because of what they've been through! Our home is super easy to find/access and we have plenty of private (off-street) parking available, making it an ideal space to meet up for playdates. The walk down to the back yard does have a hill. **If you have accessibility issues, we do not recommend booking.** There is also a creek just beyond the fence at the end of our property (which you are also welcome to use if you want, but you would have to go outside the gate to access it!)
