2/8/25 We are open! Trail Conditions Report: The trails are groomed. Everything is ready for you and your pooch! Come blaze a trail through the snow! One caution,,,dogs could climb up a snowbank and get over the fence if they wanted to. Remember, WE ARE OPEN year-round, 7-days a week including holidays. That is why our guests travel here from Grand Rapids, Holland, Lansing, and Kalamazoo. We have Ten scenic wooded acres (square). FULLY FENCED IN. Walk along the pond and through the trees on groomed trails. There are also yard areas and a picnic table. Beautiful and private acreage with views of a 60-acre non-motorized lake. You are always the only one on the property when you visit! Canicross and Canicross Training welcome! One lap of our outer loop (through the woods) = 1/2 mile. We are set up nicely to practice 5K.

Hazards

Pond, Lake, and Woods *If you see a turtle, do not approach it! Let us know and we will relocate it. *There are some prickers around the banks of the pond and in some areas of the woods. *We have had one guest who let us know their dog got some burrs. *Expect to encounter normal insects from a woods setting. *We hide Kong Squeakair tennis balls in the woods for dogs to find. There is an inherent risk in letting your dog play with tennis balls. By visiting our Sniffspot you are accepting this risk. If you would like us to remove any balls that we have hidden, we would be happy to do so. However, balls/toys are often left behind by guests (we have a large property). Please closely monitor your dog. The safety of your dog is your responsibility!

Get Your Glow On - One Dog$12

Enjoy our SniffSpot in the dark! (Available to book anytime between 5:30pm-8pm.) We supply an LED headlamp for you along with a bright, neon, LED glow-in-the-dark dog collar for your pooch. (Leave them behind when you leave.) We also sell the collars at the house. Message us if you are interested.

Additional rules

No campfires please, We are in a National forest. Please avoid all other possibilities of fire. Sniffspot leaves a half hour between visits for current guest to leave and a new guest to arrive. Please be timely and when possible please schedule tight after a scheduled guest or leave a 2-hour window between so a 1-hour guest can squeeze in. We are filling up on weekends. My wife and I moved to this beautiful wooded property years ago with our two children and our dog Bear Bear. Our son created this beautiful trail through the woods where we would take Bear for walks everyday. Our beloved Bear Bear has passed and we are opening up this trail for a sniffspot in his honor. 12 acres of protected woodland and marshland, including a large pond with ducks and turtles and creek. Plenty of room to run and explore! During the winter we recommend snow boots as the trails aren’t always cleared.

Large fenced in yard on the north side of Zeeland. We are constantly working on our yard to make it fun and the best it can be for not only my dogs, but our visitors as well! I have two reactive dogs so I understand the need for spaces like this!

	Only one booking is allowed at a time at any spot and there is an enforced 30 min buffer between all bookings to ensure dogs in separate bookings do not meet.
	This spot is set for Booking, which means you will be instantly confirmed for any booking you request. You will receive the address and access instruction immediately following booking.
	Visits can be moved or cancelled up to 2 hours before a visit.
	Visits can be extended and dogs can be added throughout the visit.
