Bella was tuckered out by 2.5 hours (we reserved 4) but she didn’t want to leave so she would sit at the pond, the back yard, and the lake and just watch everything lol before that, she went straight to chasing balls, running through the woods, swimming after sticks, and frog hunting! We feel completely comfortable with her being free here! The hosts weren’t there on this encounter but they messaged us and made sure we didn’t have any questions or need anything else for our visit. 55This spot was perfect for both my dog and my friend’s dog to roam around and spend some time in nature without being attached to a leash. The trails were nice and peaceful, and the pond was a great spot for my pup to scope out frogs and other water creatures that kept her entertained. We were greeted as soon as we arrived by the caring and friendly hosts, and provided with all the amenities we could possibly need (bug spray, hand sanitizer, hats, fresh water for Roxy from the well, and clean and sanitized water bowl). They even placed a tennis ball for Roxy to find that she could keep! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Roxy was happily tuckered out for the ride home. Beautiful woods and well marked paths! I wasn’t sure where to park at first but Matthew directed us to a little pull off just before you see his home and workshop. The paths can take you near the road and railroad tracks, but we had plenty of time to see and hear the cars before we needed to change directions. Bring bug spray in the summer! Can’t wait to come back in the fall and winter!

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
