Wooded Area Hazards for Dogs While wooded areas offer a natural and enriching environment for dogs, they also come with potential hazards. Be mindful of uneven terrain, exposed roots, and thorny plants that could cause minor injuries. Wildlife encounters, such as squirrels, snakes, or insects, may excite or startle your pup. Some plants, mushrooms, or stagnant water sources may be toxic if ingested. Keep an eye out for falling branches, especially on windy days, and always check for ticks after your visit. Enjoy the adventure, but stay aware for a safe and fun experience!

It's rare to find a spot like this so close to the city! There's lots of room here for activity—whether your fur-babies like to roam and sniff all the smells, find and chew on endless sticks, play long distance fetch (with our handy chuck-it), or just get some serious exercise running at full speed up and down the hill. We have two large breed dogs ourselves (an Australian Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees) and this yard is their happy place! Our Pyr is a rescue who can't be off leash or go to dog parks, so our property is the only space where he's free to be himself. And when we discovered Sniffspot, we wanted to offer the same opportunity for other doggos like him. No pup should be kept from the joys of life because of what they've been through! Our home is super easy to find/access and we have plenty of private (off-street) parking available, making it an ideal space to meet up for playdates.
