55This was such a lovely spot! My pup had a great time, even though it was super hot. There was plenty of shady spots to rest in and water was provided. I got a bit nervous when I saw the host’s dogs had snuck out to their yard to say hi (separately fenced and contained), but they were the sweetest, most polite dogs! They made my girl, who is normally on the more anxious/reactive side, so comfortable and they were starting to initiate play through the fence. It was adorable. The host then came out and apologized for the escape mission and after a short but pleasant chat, he called the dogs back inside and we enjoyed the rest of our time playing with the available toys and agility obstacles. My 9-month-old puppy loved this spot. The yard was enriching, safe, and so much fun. There were toys already out and waiting, a little pool for cooling off, and fresh water bowls available. My dog had the best time sniffing around, playing and exploring all the features (logs, sand box, fire hydrant). We’ll definitely be back again soon!

55This location is secure and has shade and sun. There are doggie parkour things, a sandpit, and wood chips covering the ground. There is a small pool on top of turf section. There’s shade and sun. There were other people with pets in the general area, but we had the entire fenced area to ourselves for the duration of our reservation. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
