I have a teenage Doberman with high prey drive and unreliable impulse control when off leash. This space was perfect for having him settle down in between spikes of being over stimulated. Big enough he was able to break out into a short sprint, small enough if I needed to correct him after a missed cue, I could get to him quickly. Maddy H.

55So easy to park and walk in. Our dog loved having the space and we were so happy to see him happy. I didn't see any broken glass like the other reviews mentioned. Thank you so much for opening up this space for city pups! We will be back. Jessica T.

55This is a special place! So much for a dog to sniff and explore, plus a beautiful view for the humans to enjoy. My buddy was reluctant to leave, and even more reluctant to leave behind the dinosaur toy he found, haha, but we’ll plan to return to visit our dino friend soon. We were able to walk there, but it’s also super convenient by bus. I am grateful that Nina would open her home like this and also give all proceeds to the SF SPCA!alie X.

55It was our first time and we loved it. We'll definitely be coming back. The place was clean, had many toys for my dogs to play with and the host previous to me booking was kind enough to answer all my questions.Sonialid H.

55We keep going back. The more we go, the more comfortable our dog is with her surrounds, and she starts running right away now. It’s definitely our new dog park on the weekends.Anthony V.

55Another nice visit, although my dog wanted to cut it short (her choice, I don't make the rules) after doing a circuit and catching up on all the smells. To those who have to watch out for these things, note that it's that time of year again - in the southeast part of the yard along the south wall, between the agave and big wood cable spool, there's a couple patches of scattered foxtails. 55Yard is massive! Lots of layers as well. The dogs enjoyed exploring each one. Fencing was secure. It is hilly a bit so not the most ideal place to throw a ball, but highly recommend nonetheless!Shawn C.

FAQ About San Francisco Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 2% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the San Francisco area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 236 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 349 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
