Park rules
FACILITY RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Groups or organizations using the facility shall conform to all city and county ordinances, fire regulations,
and health and safety codes.
2. The Tournament/Event Director must assign a Tournament/Event Marshall to ensure the general integrity,
order and well being of event/tournament participants and complex grounds.
3. NO ALCOHOL OR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ARE ALLOWED ON ANY DECATUR
ATHLETIC FACILITY GROUNDS AT ANY TIME!
4. No firearms, air rifles, BB guns, spring guns, bow and arrows, slings or any other form of weapon
dangerous to human safety are allowed on the facility grounds at any time.
5. The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department or their authorized designee reserves the right to cancel an
event at any time due to inclement weather or any other condition deemed detrimental to the facility. They
also reserve the right to postpone the start of any games due to frost. Examples of conditions that may
require the alteration or cancellation of any activity:
a. Standing water or puddles on the field
b. Footing is unsure and slippery
c. Ground is waterlogged and squishy
d. Grass can be dislodged from the ground easily
e. Lightning
f. Severe weather storms
g. Unsafe facility conditions
h. The use of facilities proves to be destructive or detrimental
6. The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department or their authorized designee reserves the right to assign
fields for all events and/or to assign non-contracted fields to other groups to ensure the full usage of the
facility. Wilson Morgan Softball Complex is rented only in its entirety.
7. It is prohibited for any person to engage in boisterous, threatening, abusive, insulting, indecent or profane
language or to engage in any disorderly conduct or behavior leading to a breach of the public peace and
enjoyment of the facility. The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department or their authorized designee
reserves the right to remove, or have removed, any person(s) due to abusive conduct or non-cooperative
attitude.
8. No persons shall sell, vend, peddle, or distribute any merchandise or property whatsoever, or sell tickets or
solicit contributions for political, religious or other purposes within the boundaries of the facility, except as
authorized by the Decatur Parks and Recreation Department or their authorized designee.
9. No person or group shall store or leave any materials, supplies, equipment or other physical accessories at
any facility without permission of the Decatur Parks and Recreation Department or their authorized
designee.
10. No person shall attach to the facility any materials, devices or equipment for the purpose of advertising
or decorating that facility or for any other purpose without first having obtained the permission of the
Decatur Parks and Recreation Department or their authorized designee.
11. In NO event may an organization charge parking fees for their event unless approved in advance by the
Director of the Park and Recreation Department. Vehicles may be parked in designated areas only.
12. Facility rental includes: nets will be on goals, fields will be lined, trash receptacles will be in place,
restrooms (if available) will be unlocked. Corner Flags are the responsibility of the renter and will not be
supplied.
