Description

Our spot is the best of both worlds. We have a 1/4 acre fenced in with a hammock, outdoor couch and trampoline (dog friendly of course), inside of the fenced area there is a water house with water bowl! This fence is also small dog friendly with zero escape points. Our larger area which is partially fenced in the back is surrounded by 60 acres of forest and corn fields. One acre is maintained for great viability and the other has tall grass for your pups that love frolicking! You can find a large sitting area with tons shade, a tree swing, a picnic area, pool which can be used for small to medium dogs (under 30lbs) and fire pit area that is available to use! You will also find sprinklers, a hose and water bowl for use as well and of course tons of amazing smells and lots of wildlife. We also have a peach tree, wild strawberries, raspberries and blueberries that when in season is available for picking as well! The best part, none of the neighbors have dogs! So if your pup needs extra peace and quiet or just has a hard time with other animals, this is your place! If you have any questions or need anything please feel free to reach out.

We are open to visitors using our 12 acres of open field space, 3 acre pond, almost a half mile of stream, and 3 acres of woods. Trails move you around the pond and up into the woods. There is a lot to do here and a plethora of activities for dogs and humans ranging from open field play and running, hiking, and water activities. Please follow the signs and do not disturb the owners at house. Beach area of pond has seating areas, hammock, and fire pit. There is also a seating area and rope swing. Visitors are not permitted to fish in pond. The Ridge Trail is a bit more difficult for older dogs and humans and/or people not in the best shape to hike. Proceed with caution. THANKS TO YOUR SUPPORT over the last few months, we've just purchased a propane fire pit we'll be adding to the spot! Next on the list: Adirondack chairs for around the fire, flooring for a new play area inside the barn (NOT AVAILABLE YET), and fencing in the large pasture. 🥰

Complete freedom to roam on 30 acres with a bonus that our land is surrounded by another 200+ acres of electric company owned land with no roads, no cars, no neighbors… just grass and forest. We have a Google Earth picture roughly showing the property lines and the driveway for you to use while exploring. We ask that you please stay out of the treeline to the right of the driveway as you drive up the hill It's the neighbor's property and it's marked by no trespassing signs. There is no house on the property. Just a camper and a shed. Park anywhere on the road or at the big circle at the top (near the farm office.) We have wifi near the brown shed at the top of the road. Wifi: HSH Password: HardStruggleHomestead Be forewarned that our land is on the side of a mountain so the walk up the driveway will be on a slow incline. Your dogs will be tired after this trip, we promise. As of April 1st there are no animals or livestock on site except for a few bee hives on the property. Most often, the owner is not on site but may do some maintenance time to time. If you see him, he will wave hello… Rest assured he will not approach your dogs unless you approach him. We understand reactive dogs.
