Description

Temporary FYI: we are working on putting in sod on some spots so you may see the spot as unavailable on the weekend during April and the first weekend of May. Please DM us if you want to come during those times as we have them blocked in case we are working but we may be able to host you depending. Thank you and so sorry for the inconvenience right now! Our serene Sniffspot located near the intersection of Mutton Hollow and Thornfield Rd in Kaysville, Utah. Our property spans just under an acre, offering a diverse landscape for your dog's enjoyment. We also have a slatmill your dog can utilize upon request. The area is predominantly grassy, providing ample space for running and playing. The terrain is a mixture of gentle and steep hills, adding an element of adventure to your dog's exploration. Mature trees dot the property, creating a forest-like atmosphere with plenty of shade and interesting scents. We keep up on our pup's every week, but we can pick up before your visit upon request. A highlight of our space is a small, man-made waterfall and pond, introducing soothing sounds and a touch of tranquility. Water features are seasonal and will be dry or turned off during winter. Adjacent to our property are some goats which offer your dog a chance to safely observe farm animals from a distance. We also have a variety of gardens, some maintained and some that are wild, adding to the natural beauty and providing a variety of scents for your dog to discover. Our Sniffspot is designed to be a safe and engaging environment where dogs can explore, play, and relax in a natural setting. We own two dogs who love the yard, and one is extremely friendly and would love a playdate if you so desire. We look forward to welcoming you and your furry friend!

At the west edge of the property, it is very dense with trees, but it is a retaining wall that a dog could try to climb down. But there is a fence at the bottom. The property has lot of dead foliage.

Playdate with Sofina$0

Sofina is our energetic 30 pound Bernedoodle who loves to play with all dogs! She can be a little rough with small ones but sometimes small dogs like that kind of play. If you would like to include Sofina at no extra charge during your stay, let us know! Her availability depends on us being home so we will let you know if we can accommodate.

We are software engineers who work from home, so we’re home pretty much all day. When we’re not working, we love hitting the trails as casual runners. We share our home with two awesome (and very different) dogs who keep us entertained and active. Ruby is our 11-year-old, 15-pound Maltipoo. She’s black and white and missing her left eye, which she lost after an unprovoked husky attack. Despite that, she’s still the “Fun Police” and takes her role seriously, barking and chasing to keep order. She mostly prefers cuddling with people (especially me, her favorite) and isn’t a fan of high-energy dogs, so we limit her socializing. Sofina is our 2-year-old, 30-pound Bernedoodle. She’s full of energy and adores playing with dogs of all sizes. She’s super social and loves people, though she’s still working on some manners—like not jumping and her habit of “mouth hugging” (don’t worry, no biting—she just likes holding hands with her mouth!). She’s also a total cuddle bug when she’s not zooming around. We’re excited to explore Sniffspot and find fun, safe places for our dogs to enjoy!
