Description
BOROUGH OF MIDDLESEX Off-leash dog park guidelines for use all users are advised that the off-leash dog park is an unsupervised recreation area. All users are further advised that the use of this facility's at their own risk. Owners are liable for any injury or damage caused by your dog and fully responsible for their dog’s action 1 Users must abide by all rules and regulations governing the use of Middlesex parks and public lands and must comply with the directions of parks personnel and the animal control officer. 2. Children under 8 years of age are not permitted in the off-leash dog area children 8 years of age and older must be closely supervised by an adult. 3. There is a limit of 2 dogs per person. At no time should the number of dogs within the off-leash area exceed 20. When others are waiting. Please limit your use to 30 minutes. 4. Dogs with a history of dangerous or aggressive behavior are prohibited, 5. Puppies under 6 months old are prohibited. All dogs over 6 months old must be spayed or neutered. 6. Dogs must be currently licensed and vaccinated and wear collars displaying their license at all times 7. Dogs must be leashed prior to entering and upon exiting the off-leash area. Once within the area users must momentarily restrain their dogs when others are entering or leaving in order to prevent dogs from leaving the enclosure. 8. Owners must be in view of their dogs at all times and have a leash for each dog in their possession. 9. Users must clean up after their dogs. 10. No animals other than dogs may be brought into the fenced area of the park. 11. Sick dogs are not permitted. 12. No food of any kind is allowed.. 13. Private dog park for your pups! Approx half acre, fully fence 6’ aluminum fencing, with 3.75” between vertical rods. There may be some very small gaps (under 4”) under fencing as it was installed this year. We are facing The Great Swamp wildlife refuge with various animals living behind us, so they may be tempted with scents. 😊 While there is secure fencing under the deck, please also do not allow your dog to dig and create gaps, for safety reasons. This is a private home, the bookings are allowing me to recover from this new fence for my greyhound mix. Please be respectful and do not let your dog urinate on the house, deck, deck stairs, etc. This is a beautiful location against the Great Swamp, and I’d like to share it with other four-legged friends. We just moved from nyc to have a yard, so I understand the importance of off-leash freedom! There is a small trash can at end of the carport (near back steps) for potty bags. Please pick up after your dog. We may be home, but we will not bother you. We are located on a dead end, and it is typically very quiet and peaceful here. You are welcome to park in our driveway.
