Our spot is Very Open and Large. We have spaces for the advanced hiker with elevation at 400 feet with steep climbing to areas of gorgeous open fields and bluffs! We have a couple creeks that meander through the property and an old barn on top of a hill in the lower bottom corner of our hay field. Lots of fields and scenic sights! Something for everyone! The property has one fence that separates our property from the back property at the extremely steep top of the mountain! Wear your bug spray - with all the trees, ticks are everywhere! Straightfork Farm

Our Sniffspot has been referred to as Dog Heaven. We are in a remote area in the Appalachian Foothills of SE Ohio. We have farm roads, mowed trails and open fields you and your dog can enjoy, but the favorite place for most dogs is our pond. Our pond features a dock that dogs love to jump off of. There is also a large covered pavilion with tables and chairs. A basket of water toys is next to the dock. There is an outhouse there and well, it is primitive, but clean (unless the mice make nests, but I try to keep ahead of that) In dry weather the pond is accessible by vehicle but it is also a good walk for people and dogs, about 1/2 a mile from the parking area (and mostly uphill). This pavilion also has our "Sugar Shack" attached, which is where we boil down maple sap in February and March to make syrup. The Maple Grove is up a trail above the pond. **My dogs swim in this pond most days in the spring, summer & fall. The pond has an aerator and also is treated with Pond Blue, both of which help to eliminate the possibility of dangerous algae blooms. There is also no fertilization of fields that could run off into the pond. **
