Description

Property maintenance is happening this weekend. Our dogs will not be out. But there will be brush clean up equipment and brush burning around the pond. Bathrooms are now open for the season. While Offering 4 km of trails and With the short days upon us don’t for get your flashlight! We are open till 11PM! Enjoy a night walk if you’re not scared of the dark! We are working hard to prepare the area for your visit, some areas might look less than perfect but we keep it safe for you and your furry companions. Nurtured by Nature is a thriving kids summer day camp but currently off season so we are open 7 days a week. So for the safety of the kids and respect to their families we are unable to have the area available while the day camp is open. This is for only 6 weeks in the summer. At this time you may have to walk past some people to get to the trails. This is our home so at times we will be hanging out by the pool, or working on the buildings and property. While we offer outdoor washrooms they are shared by those using the pool and playground area.

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD We have MARKED TRAILS on our family farm for owners and dogs to enjoy. Just follow the blue markers. There are forest trails and trails around our hay fields. **Please note **Our residential areas are off limits, please stick to the trails and blue markers. Please do not enter any of the buildings on our property. When you come up the driveway veer to the right, there is a marked parking spot for you and your pup. Fall, winter and early spring are great months for ball chasers as we have big open fields. Mid spring and summer we have hay growing and ask you and your pups to follow the trails around the hay fields. There are a couple of cows on the neighboring property, this is only for a very small portion on one of the fields.

However, the fencing is a mix of 50% horse board-style fencing with 50% cattle panel type fencing along the roads at the front and along both sides of the property. Horse farms are on either side of the property and the horses to the south will come up to the fence and are very curious. The back of the property is open forest with board fencing as well. Lots of room for you and your dog(s) to run and play. Approximately 20 acres of open fields. No muddy areas and fields are well drained and dry. ***Charges are in USD*** We at BHS understand that letting your dog run and play is so important! But some dogs aren't suitable for dog parks or social areas. Our private, fully fenced half acre yard is the perfect place to let your (reactive or otherwise) dog just be a dog and get some freedom! Please check in at the front desk to get the key to the yard, and clean up after yourself. There are water bowls in the yard, but please bring your own water. There are trees providing shady areas throughout the day. If bringing back the key when we are not open, please put it in the Mailbox, located beside our Front Doors. When we are open, our receptionists will gladly take the key back from you! All the fees go directly to the animals in our case, and we are a registered charity and no-kill shelter.
