UPDATE: We installed a new driveway! Now you can drive through all the way to the back of the property. There is a large parking space next to the back building structure as well that can easily park 4 cars. It is a new millings driveway. So please try NOT to drive over the same spot you see tire tracks already. This will help smooth out the new driveway over time. So I'd appreciate if you can try to drive away from any visible tire tracks in the driveway. Thank you. Gate over driveway, if closed, can be opened manually. If already opened, just drive through and close it behind you to secure the space for your dog to enjoy his run. When you leave, please close the gate. 2. Please don't enter the vinyl fence areas directly in the front and back of the house. 3. Poultry in my backyard - I have a few ducks and chickens behind my vinyl fenced backyard which is not part of the sniffspot, but can be seen. The ducks quack sometimes. The chickens cluck. 4. Also, please try not to be too close to the fence lines as there are shallow holes from dug up Vibernum bushes that used to grow in front of the fence. 5. For dog waste, I usually have a dog waste collection bag (an empty dog food bag) by the trash can area in next to the garage. Please deposit your dog waste bags in here. If you don't see one, please feel free to leave the bags on the concrete pad by the trash can area or in the black trash can behind the small white fence. Please don’t put them in the large gray compost bin by the field fence next to the viburnum hedge. Thank you! 6. If you need water for your dog(s), there is a faucet by the back building. 7. I recommend wearing waterproof boots as grass can be wet from morning dews. 8. You might want to bring some mosquito repellant as there can be mosquitoes in the yard. 9. After heavy rain, the back part of the property and the right corner in the back area will have puddles and grounds can be muddy. If you want to avoid these spots, try to stay in the front part of the property on the right side when facing the house. The left side next to the mound can also gather some water puddles. HOST NOTE

1) There are shallow holes along fence lines from dug-up plants. Also I have planted thornless prickly pear cactus in some of these holes so that it would help my sniffspot visitors avoid walking along the line in front of the fence that may have these shallow holes. The thornless prickly pear cactus have no thorn and my giant tortoise loves to eat the cactus pads. If it’s the variety with thorns, I would have to remove the thorns before I could give them to him. The thornless variety still does have fine hairs so I recommend you don’t handle them without gloves. Please try to keep your dogs from sniffing the cactus. 2) Please watch out for ant mounds. Please supervise your dogs and don't let them root around the mound areas. 3) Don't let your dogs eat yellow or dead grass. 4) I just learned that a snapping turtle was found on my property and bit a pup’s nose. This is a wild animal and should be avoided. I have never seen one in my yard but have seen a different kind of turtle and a gopher tortoise before. Since the property is fully fenced with a wire mesh fencing, I have to assume it came in through the driveway gate which is left open the majority of the time. I'm glad to be able to share the space with other dog lovers. Immediately around my house, you'll see a vinyl fence around the front and back yards, so these areas are not part of the sniff spot space. :D My neighbors in the NW side (left side in the back when facing my house) have 3 little dogs that are yappers, so if you don't want your dog(s) to engage in fence fighting/barking, you might want to stay closer to the front part of the lot or don't go past the 2nd building on the lot. Otherwise, hope you and your dog(s) enjoy your time at my spot. PS: I added a section of fencing in front of the neighbor's fence, so now my dogs aren't interested to engage in fence fighting or barking with the neighbor's dogs since they could not go nose to nose. So I think it's ok to roam in the back, too, if you're curious. Just keep a close eye on your dogs.

Beautiful gated, large plot of land to let a dog roam and explore. We have a lovely winding trail around the outer edges of the property. There is a wetland area in one corner and a couple ponds with heavy brush surrounding them. There is a renter in one of the homes but they are dog friendly and aware of the visits. We have a couple covered structures to take a break from the sun and lots of oaks to stand under for shade. In fact most of the property has shaded spots throughout the walk which makes it very comfortable. The outer edges are surrounded by farm land and vacant property so it’s a peaceful experience. The front gate can be secured shut to offer a boundary and the perimeter of the property has a cattle fence all around. Any escape artists or dogs without solid recall could sneak through parts of the fence so off leash is only recommended to dogs that are more obedient. You can park inside the gate and shut it behind you for comfort. I bring my Doberman out often to let her run and roam this space and it insured me to offer the space for other dogs that need a good run in the world!
