Are your dogs ready to burn the zoomies OFF LEASH! The Little Red Barn has a 2 acre fenced in pasture with grass, leaves, trees, fun natural rocks to jump on, plenty of scents to smell and many sites to see at the farm! All visits are private bookings with no other visitors or dogs during your time. We have bookings for 30 minutes, 1 hour, & more! Give your pup a bath in our freshly cleaned & filled Rubbermaid water trough! Use of a sprinkle nozzle water hose, a basket of doggie bath supplies, and drying towels are included.

Leave your dog at the farm for this additional fee. The cost is per dog/per hour. This is a fully supervised doggy care visit with lots of play time. *Must be picked up when time ends!

Additional rules

Have dogs on their leash while exiting and entering the vehicle. Only use the gate shown by the owner to enter and exit the Sniffspot. All other gates are locked and off limits due to containing farm animals. Please use baggies to pick up after your dog. A trash can is provided. Thank you for abiding by these rules! * Feel free to bring your dog's favorite toys!

Hi! I’m Jonnie. I love hosting at The Little Red Barn in Rockwell, NC. I have farm & domestic animals. 2 horses - North Chill & Troopers Ploy 1 donkey - Ollie 2 goats - Miss Kitty & Belle Star 1 bottle fed baby goat - Charlie 3 cats - Moe, Smokey, & Amelia 1 dog - Lola Lots of chickens. Too many to list off names! * All cats & dogs are indoors during your reserved time. All farm animals are contained in a separate pasture. All chickens are in the coop. We hope you enjoy visiting our spot! 🐾 Lola & I will visit other spots, as guest, on our travels!

POND IS CLOSED FOR SUMMER DUE TO DROUGHT AND RISK OF ALGAE We offer over 1 acre of fully fenced play yard and 10+ acres of UNFENCED trails, pond and woods. Enjoy a picnic on the bank of the pond or bring your fishing pole and catch a fish! Groups are welcome...so reserve a friend or two! We do limit cars to 2 per reservation or with advanced notice more are allowed. Also, speed limit on our long gravel drive is 10 MPH. We have a water spigot inside dog lot near steps. Please DO NOT use the water spigot in the open field near edge of driveway (handle will not cut off water supply!) No bowls provided due to sanitation so please bring a water bowl. Our property is over 0.2 miles from any public road. Enjoy the quiet country setting and have fun!

This is a very quiet place on a country road where your dogs can be off leash and free to explore nature. The full four acres are surrounded by a 5 foot fence and there is a small creek running through the property. There is a wide spot in the creek that is easily the most popular spot for our canine visitors! There are larger fields and open areas for your dogs to practice their retrieving, and there are many paths in the woods for hiking. The beginning of each path is marked with quartz stones to show you the way. You will also find several benches scattered throughout the property so that you can take a load off while your dogs run and play. When it rains the property can be quite wet in some areas, so bring boots and a towel to clean off your muddy (but happy!) dog. There is a full competition size agility field within the four acres. The agility equipment is completely fenced in and will be accessible only to those who have had at least one formal beginner's agility class. This is to keep you and your dog safe and to prevent misuse of the equipment. Please message the host when you book the spot and before your first visit to discuss your agility experience if you are wanting to access the equipment. **I would really like for your first visit to be on a weekend or a Tuesday (my day off) so that I can meet with you to show you some details about the property and discuss parking. After the first visit, book whenever you want! If you absolutely cannot make it these days for your first visit, we can work something out. 🙂

Wide open for dogs that need to run. Our guests have highlighted that they appreciate that they have easy visibility to keep eyes on their dog. The pasture was originally used for goats so there are lots of interesting smells. Picnic table and outdoor furniture for humans or dogs underneath shade trees. Climbing structure. Water with hose available. Trash and poop bags available. Entrance is 80 yards away from residence. Minutes from 485/Lawyers Rd - easy to find, easy to access. UPDATE ON DOWNED TREE (8/27/25): The downed tree has been removed! The grass has not regrown in that area but your dog is welcome to sniff, dig, or find a cool stick in that area! *NEW* We have seasonal homemade jellies, jams, pickles, plants, and seasonal produce for sale at our welcome table (as available).
