Welcome to our Sniffspot—where dogs can truly be dogs! We chose this home for its large, private yard and created a safe, fun space for pups to run, play, and sniff to their heart’s content. The front of the yard features a 6-foot privacy fence, while the rest is enclosed with a combination of 6-foot wood, chain link, and heavy-duty wire fencing. It’s fully secure and suitable for both large and small dogs. Your pup will love exploring the variety of scents left behind by local wildlife—birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and the occasional raccoon or fox make for an exciting visit! We hope your dog enjoys it as much as ours does!

Ruby’s Retreat for Reactive Dogs is a place where a dog can come to be dog. We have about .75 acres fenced with a ramp, oversized dig box, hideout, tether tug, (available upon request)kiddie pool and or splash pad. We also have about an acre of wooded trails that were created for Ruby and her brother’s daily sniff and strolls. Ruby was dog reactive which limited her outings, we would like to give other dogs the opportunity to be a dog with no stress and just be a dog. This spot is in memory of Ruby and her way of helping other dogs like her. Rocky (Ruby’s brother) and Ruby were the inspiration behind what we’d like to offer your dog. Thanks for checking us out 🐾🐾

PLEASE READ – Important Info Below Check our Facebook page for important updates and information: https://www.facebook.com/share/1DT3T6KL5z/ About the Pooch Playground: Located on a scenic working farm (you may see tractors or people at a distance), this fully enclosed ¼-acre space sits beside a small woodland, offering peace and privacy. The nearby field is preserved for wildlife. The perimeter of the spot is left a bit wild, so it is more enriching for dogs. Grass Care: We mow weekly on the highest setting—grass stays longer than a golf course but never over ankle height. This protects the lawn from wear and dog urine. We also leave small "islands" of taller grass for sniffing fun. Shade & Seating: There isn’t much natural shade, but feel free to move the chair to a shady spot if needed. Frisbees: Free to take home! Pool Info: The water may look cloudy due to an algae inhibitor and barley treatment—it’s safe for dogs. Other Notes: We do morning and evening chores, so you may see us around. The garden, house, and barn are far enough away that it's rarely a disruption. Lost a toy in the tall grass? Frost free faucet is usable all year and fed from a natural spring Gift shop on site sells dog treats, collars, leashes, bandanas, and more.

Our yard is in a quiet neighborhood with a chain link full fence. There is a gate to enter on the left side of the garage. I have fresh water out for all bookings along with a pooper scooper and trash can. I will also fill up the kiddie pool upon request. There are many balls, ropes and chew toys available as well. There is also a cooler for the humans with refreshing beverages 🙂 Let your dog roam the whole yard including the patio, woodsy island and grass —- no area is off limits!
